Let me say this as clearly as it should be said: Anthony Joshua vs. Wladimir Klitschko was probably the best HW fight ever. All of that excitement, with their trading of brutal knockdowns and jelly legs, and the great heart and patience that both of them showed. It simply doesn't get any more entertaining. I prefer to watch the big lions fight, even if the small cats can be cool too. And these were truly two lions going at it. Klitschko had an amazing last stand, surviving the two knockdowns and still fighting on. It was beautiful to watch. Notice how you could see Joshua maturing as a fighter during the match. He had trouble with Wladimir's experience, but he fought patiently and stayed focused and took his chance, as late as the chance came. A well deserved victory.
And both of them are true gentleman, respecting themselves, each other and the fans. They are great for the sport.
White Wolf vs Brewster was just as thrilling as this fight but the championship profile was lower. For basically the undisputed title this was the greatest since Bowe vs Holyfield.
Lets calm down a bit now.
Ali vs Frazier I and III was leagues above that. Those two were on the brink of death in that 3rd fight
Extreme drama last night with the KD's but lots of the rounds were pretty quiet. When you watch it back without the adrenaline those rounds feel a lot less dramatic
yeah it was a good fight for sure best heavyweight for awhile but not anywhere near the level of many many more truly great heavyweight fights
kids who started watching boxing last week use the phrase "best fight ever" left and right.
Learn the history of boxing and then you can talk.
Dempsey-Firpo.
Ali-Frazier.
Holyfield-Bowe.
Holmes-Norton.
etc.etc.
And there were tons of amazing HW fights on a non-championship level.
Best in my lifetime is either holyfield v bowe or Tyson. Best ever is Ali v frazier 1. All those fights are levels above aj v Wlad altho it is the best fight I've witnessed live
Come on man. Have you just been introduced to boxing? That fight was great. It was certainly the best in recent history, but nowhere near the best HW fight ever.

Obviously is the best hw fight that you have watched in your opinion and that i respect, just wondering how long have you been following boxing...
:lol1:
I think it's one of the best of the Klitschko era, but still, the fighting was UGLY. I'm cool with both guys but, if we're completely honest, they looked like stiff idiots compared to some of the HW legends of the past.
It was a great fight! Far from the best though... far...
This is just a sign of how deprived we are of quality heavyweight fights and how low our standards have become due to that simple fact.
It was a terrific fight.
Exciting, dramatic, twists and turns, back and forth action, heavy knockdowns either way...
For a fight involving Wlad, that's quite an achievement.
Ever? Did you just start watching boxing or something?

:lol1: yeah....best ever.
Way more excitement here than when JJ beat Burns or Jeffries. Far more exciting than the million dollar gate. Way more tension in the air than the Louis-Schmelling USA vs Nazi rivalry. Charles, Walcott, Moore, and Marciano hardly had fans interests. Ali, Frazier, and Foreman rivalry is hardly memorable, and no one even got out of their seats for Mike, Evander, and Lennox.
I mean **** bro...**** no. History is the greatest fight in history. That island today only has like 6 billion people. You can energize their whole population and it still would only rank with not surpass the excitement of the past.
I mean let's throw this into some perspective. Demokrates is probably the most popular fighter of all time. He was around Jesus's age. I mean in the year 25 AD he was like 27 or some ****. Demo was huge from the Roman Empire to Japan. You can see him depicted in Axum art, Chinese art, Greco-Roman art, Anatolian art, Japanese art, Kush art, Persian art, and Indian art. He had far more than 6 billion fans, and his fame sparked new forms of fighting like Kung Fu. AJ and Wlad can't **** with that kind of global excitement. The whole ancient world stopped for Demo.
My point is as you go back in history the excitement around boxing raises. The most excitement in boxing history centers around ancient fighters, second would be the bare knuckle era, then today's greats. Because there wasn't any football etc.
6 billion fans in 25 A.D. huh?
