Anyone in the indie top ten that he didn't fight when he did fight some bs abc ranked mandatory guy. I'm sure he didn't fight every single indie ranked top ten guy, (although I have no desire to go dig up that info but feel free to go look up the top ten from any year or two from his reign & see if you find one name he didn't fight cuz this is for sure a fact more than a debatable subject), yet he fought a bunch of #25 or #32 indie ranked, but probably #1 or #12 abc ranked guys.
That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying anything crazy at all. This is the bs of a 4 title belt regime that everyone deals with. Its not sh^tting on Klitschko so much as sh^tting on abc groups.
You are clearly mistaking my point if you think this is about Klitschko more than the 4 title belt regime bs.
If I insulted Klitschko at all in my post it was via calling him boring. I'm sure he even knows there were better more worthy opponents out there then some of the guys he fought. I'm sure GGG knows Wade was a bs opponent. And I'm sure Charlo #2 knows Hatley was a bs opponent. That is boxing in this era.
You still haven't answered the question. Your response is "yeah there were loads of guys he could have fought"...but you don't mention.
Who in the last 10ish years was more deserving of a shot or fight than the likes of Haye, Povetkin, Pulev, Peter, Chambers, Byrd? The glaring omission is Valuev but Haye got in the way and Wlad went for the only title he had left. Obviously he was never going to fight his brother and rightfully so.
In the last 2 years, he faced Fury and now AJ.
So, unless you can name opponents he never faced who he should have faced you don't have a leg to stand on. I have no idea what your personal reasons for this are...unless you are misinformed about the hw division since Wlad's rise and you think Tyson, Lewis and Holyfield were still relevant names lol
You know, the contenders never really got any shine because Klitschko brothers held every belt. Imagine if Vitali fought Joshua in 08 and Ko'ed him, and we didn't realize he would be a next great because to them he is just an another top 3 contender and because he has no belt. Only then did talent rise when they finally held a belt when the older brother vacated his to retirement.
That's a very good point. Stivern and then Wilder only became WBC because Vitali retired. Parker only got his shot and his win (doubt he would have beaten Wlad) at the WBO because Fury dropped it etc etc.
Can we please not play the resume game? Can we just accept it as fact that ANYONE who holds all or a bunch of the titles fights a bunch of bs guys that don't deserve a title shot reallllllllly. For example like GGG vs Wade recently that I think everyone would agree, fanboy or nah, isn't a fight that should reallllllllly have been a title defense. And like probably 1/3ish or more of the guys Klitschko fought.
Can we just accept it as fact that the abc groups got bs rankings that don't represent the reality boxing fans & pundits see? This ain't that complicated brother. If you wanna bow down to everything the abc groups think & do fair enough, but if you aren't tired of dumb abc sh^t now you will be real quick cuz abc dumb sh^t is every day logic for those groups.
Klitschko held all but one of the titles. Yes the quality of the contenders was bad at times (Thompson ffs) BUT when you say "realllyyyy deserved it" what does that mean? Who else deserved title shots outside if the guys Klit faced? The answer is no one. He cleared out a generation of heavyweights. You dont have to like them but they were the best available.
Oh and if you're rating AJ at that level then both Povetkin and Haye were more accomplished fighters. So your point, unless I'm mistaking it, does not make sense.
So I repeat, who did Klitschko not face that he was supposed to face?
That straight right steelhammer in the 6th, the uppercut from hell in the 11th and the uppercut/left hook combo for the final knockdown were all hellacious shots
Klitschko took that uppercut like a kid that hits his head and looks at you to kinda gauge your reaction to see if he should be crying, but if you just smile at him he's all good.
Amazing sh-t. Honestly got more respect for Klitschko off of this L then in his whole deacade long boring reign vs a lot of bs guys who didn't reallllllllly deserve a title shot.
What do you mean by that? Wlad beat every challenger put in front of him. They were legitimate because they fought their way into that position. There is no one Wlad could of fought and didn't fight unless you count Wilders wbc but there were other better fighters (Povetkin, Pulev) who Wlad beat in that time frame.
