After Fury beat, sorry Schooled Wlad, many of you said Wlad was shot, he should retire etc...
So why should we give credit to Jousha going life and limb with Wlad?
I thought Wlad was shot guys?
Fury put on such a masterclass performance, he made Wlad look shot....
Jousha struggled with a 42 year old, inactive, mentality broken Wlad....
but most of you gave no credit to Fury...why should Jousha get any credit? he was suppose to walk over Wlad in 6 rounds
LOL at this BS. All the cretins on here praising wlad like he had just fought a man in the prime of his career. No he didn't! Joshua is a green, 18 fight novice and look what he did to klitsko. How good is joshua gonna be in 3 years time?
Wlad looked fine his legs looked good and he still has good looking punches when he lets his hands go. Still he is an aged version who just doesn't have the right aggression level to beat guys who he can't fight in his most comfortable way.
Wlad likes to fight perfectly if he can't land clean he won't let his hands go, or if he is going to take something back in return he won't let his hands go either. Against guys with similar range this become a big issue because there is no safe space for him to operate and guys that size are not easy to grapple up without taking a clean shot so he can easily get out hustled. Wlad did show he would still fight back when forced and did his best work of the fight in those moments until he drifted back into his usual method which allowed Joshua to really recuperate.
It was not the finest example of Wlad but he was in decent condition.
Wlad lost to Fury because his whole game is based on using his reach and controlling distance.
Against a taller fury he couldn't reach him and Wlad can't fight inside at all.
Fury gives any version Wlad trouble.
What this showed everyone on this site rather you want to admit it or not is that the HW division goes through TYSON FURY!!!!!! Joshua is holding Fury's belts. That fight has to happen even if Fury doesn't come back as good as before. It has to happen.
Ain't no champ but the lineal champ.
He didn't look scared, he fought with an appropriate level of respect. Wlad has huge power and both guys stood in range, being reckless in that situation would have been stupidity.
He dropped (4 times) and stopped a HW great who hadn't been stopped in over a decade, in his 19th fight.
He won't have tactics remotely like that against Fury, he will blitz him and take him out early. Those flicking shots and prancing around worked against Wlad who is risk adverse and doesn't like to engage, Joshua will blast through him.
He looked scared, come on, but if you think he didnt, then fair enough
I got fit Fury winning a easy UD, it'll be a ugly fight, Jousha will get frustrated, a lot of holding.
Fury will just fight from range, Jousha will do all the chasing, walk into something, heavy and back off.
Jousha went for broke against Wlad, and nearly gassed himself out. Took him at least 3 rounds to get his bearings back, and lucky for him Wlad is old and throws one punch at a time.
When Wlad hurt Jousha, even before the knockdown...Jousha looked scared, he felt Wlads power and started backing off.
That invisibility factory vanished, i saw a man who was scared.
Once he tastes a heavy hand from Fury, he'll go on the retreat. Fury is not a HUGE puncher, but he keeps you honest and he has enough power to wobble you.
Jousha can't do what he did to Wlad to Fury, the size and height is the game changer

Nah, Joshua will do what Wlad was scared to do and walk through Fury. He'll blitz him early.
Wlad had no answer for being out of range. He doesn't have the confidence to step in when punches are coming back and that kept him out of range.
I thought it would be an easy fight a year ago, I still think it's a quick nights work for Joshua. It's all about styles, a big punching Wlad was a tougher fight for him stylistically.

Wlad let it slip, he really did.... Joshua was done from rounds 6-8 but with Wlad being cautious and just content to just win those rounds AJ was able to recover. I can't help that think if Manny Steward was still around he would have given Wlad the urgency to finish it.
Totally agree but its just Wlad's nature to take his foot off the gas in those rounds so he can finish 10-12 strong.
He could have just gone up a gear and finished it all off but his strategist instinct was his achille's heel.

... I predicted that Wlad would KO Joshua in the championship rounds... :)
Furys foot speed, hand speed, size/height was too much for Wlad, on top of that Fury has great reflexes for a big guy
Jousha clearly had a lot of problems with Wlads foot work, Wlads little height advantage also played a factor in Jousha looking vulnerable
Fury will see everything coming from Jousha, he'll tie him up and make him look slow and robotic....
Horrible style match up for Jousha...

Fury give any heavyweight a tough night, he's so awkward and disrupts his opponent extremely well. He lacks power though, Wlad didn't drag him into deep water but Anthony will walk through the jab and lad clean at some point.
Also a lot of stock is being put on AJ's power
Its not one punch KO power, Wlad finished on his feet, and his chin was never that great to start with
Jousha needs to get off combo's, thats a tough task against a man of Furys stature
Wlad has been in decline for years, but he looked no worse than he has in any of his last 4-5 fights. He was sharp.
He looked bad in the Fury fight because it was a bad style for him. Fury stayed out of range, landed jabs and moved. It was a terrible fight with both guys landing a very low amount of punches.
