I cant find a simple thread on who is going to win this fight from bettors or fans with explanations on why they believe what they believe.
My cousin is betting $100 on Vlad and tells me that he is super confident about it. I do not agree. I worry that Vlad is too old and will be afraid to throw punches. Joshua looks like a young lion who is ready to take over the pride. The only concern I have for Joshua is that his fights do not go long and if Vlad takes him to deep water can Joshua survive?
Please share your thoughts.
AJ by KO because Wlad is very old and his age really showed in his last fight. AJ is a 26 year old monster with fast accurate punches for such a giant. He has tremendous power in his straight right and very good power in his left hook. Wlad still has great power, his famous left jab and all his boxing knowledge and experience so he could win by KO or on points but AJ seems like the more likely winner.
I could honestly see it go either way. I think some people are sleeping on Wlad. It is hard to really gauge his current state.
We have two big, KO power heavies. One is young and fresh but inexperienced, and the other is long in the tooth, but far more skilled.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and pick Wlad to shock him with some short, accurate punches early in the fight. I think he may be in too deep without facing a top guy and gets taken out.
Nobody has taken into consideration that this will take place in the UK...it's going to be harder for Klitschko to get a decision over there if it goes 12.
I bank on age factor 41 isn't any spring chicken and Wladimir did not look that good in his last outing and that was a year and a bit away.
Could be wrong who knows, I suppose it shouldn't be impossible for a very dedicated athlete to compete at the highest level in his 40's.
P.S. Tyson Fury is the best heavyweight in the world. Those are Fury's belts that Joshua and Klitschko are fighting for.
That would be an interesting fight if Joshua does win, having to fight Fury.
I appreciate everyone responding and helping on the betting decision. Looks like it is Joshua on the betting slip as of now.
I am going with Klitschko, 100%. Joshua hasn't seen anyone with the level of Klitschko. Klitschko does well against stationary fighters, like Joshua. If Klitschko pumps that jab like we have seen in the past, Klitschko will win. The money maker is Klitschko.
After Klitschko's last embarrassing performance against Fury I have to go with AJ.
If you understand styles... The fight against the coke'd up Octo means ZERO in this fight
This fight won't be Tyson Vs. Holmes... (4 my OG's that understand what I mean...)
Trust me... BOTH of these 2 dudes are gonna be "JUICED" to the MF'N gillz.
I'm going to favor Klitschko to pull an upset and beat Joshua.
I like Joshua but I think this is too soon for him to take on someone as technical and experience as Wlad.
Sure he may have the youth, speed and strength over Wlad but Wlad is a very technical fighter, he didn't reign Heavyweight champion over a decade for no reason, his cheap antics and techniques was what kept him on top - you need someone like T. Fury who was unpredictable, unorthodox and fights awkwardly to trouble a technician like Wlad.
Joshua is quite the opposite, he moves less and has a tight guard and is stiff robotic like. Though he has great punching power, techniques and skills I don't think that would be enough to trouble Wlad.
Joshua will stop himI think. Going off what we saw in Wlads last two fights he was on the decline. He has been on the shelf for a year and a half, I think this will play a role as well. I have a feeling we may see a brutal changing of the guard.
