It took Tito SEVEN years to fight another WW champion.:lol1:
Damn near a full decade of ducking.
Kigali,
Who did Tito ducked?
-Whitaker didn't want to fight him, he flat out said min an interview; I don't fight countries (referring to Trinidad as a country) While I agree with him why fight the new up & coming young lion for peanuts, when you can fight someone else for more $.
-Oscar didn't want anything to do with Tito at the time. He chose to fight Whitaker instead. Remember Tito was welter champion before (capture welter title in 1993) oscar (capture welter title in 1997).
-Ike Quartey became welter champion in 1994 defended title in around 9x. While that is an accomplishment all on it's own. It's not like he was facing any killers himself, with the likes of;
-Cortes (Tito left over)
-Butters
-Jung-oh Park
-Murray
-Ramirez
-Vince Phillips (now that's a name!)
-Oba Carr (Tito KO leftover who lost a 12 round dec. to ike) (another known name)
-Jones
-Jose Luis Lopez (another known name)
People use the word ducking quite too often around here. Now Canelo avoiding GGG...that's ducking.
I would love to say Tito destroys both these guys but I'm not so sure.
vs Jermell would be an easier fight for him. It's just those jabs though. Roy, Hop, Winky and even Oscar used it to perfection against Trinidad. That'll be Jermell's biggest weapon. I think Jermall at this point would be too big for him. Neither would be intimidated by one another. Would be some fun fights for sureYou really think jermall can take Tito's bombs??I dont think so, even Bernard said that Tito hits like a mule..
Tito couldn't even destroy feather fisted Winky Wright....as a matter of fact....he got his ass kicked.
Name ONE fighter Tito destroyed that is the size and strength of either Charlo...you can't.
Tito got dropped by the dreaded Kevin Leushing:lol1:
Yeah bro, simmer down some. I put Winky in my post lol

Its too early to call, the Charlo's haven't competed at the same level.
I hate these premature threads to be honest - its just a complete shot in the dark whatever your opinion might be. Why don't you actually wait until said fighter has fought at a reasonably comparable level.
Tito's flaws have been exposed when he fought against elite level, p4p type guys.
When you get a guy blasting out B and C level fighters, I see too many posters get over-excited. It gets boring to be honest, its not these aren't good wins, but there is a huge gulf between that level and a proper elite world champion.
I am not saying the Charlo's can't make that jump, but until they do its a waste of time exercise. Sorry for being blunt.
A more than fair assessment :ANYWORD:
Based on resumes right now.
Felix Trinidad beats both of the Charlo twins.
We have to see how the Charlo's do as their careers progress. But as of right now based off of overall body of work, career achievements, resumes.
I have Felix Trinidad over both.

Both are too big and too strong for Tito, he wouldn't be able to outbox them for 12 rounds and I don't think he'd be able to take their punches so well at 154, whereas I think they'd be able to take Tito's punches.
