I watched the GGG/Jacobs fight twice & I had Jacobs winning both times with no way GGG had a chance of winning. I think I had Jacobs winning by 2 points the first time & 3 points the second. With Ward/Kovalev I was sure Kovalev won the first time. Than I watched the fight a second time & had Ward winning by 1. I re watched it yet again & had Kovalev winning by 1. I think Ward/Kovalev was a fight that could have gone either way. But with GGG/Jacobs I really just don't see how GGG won decisively after watching it twice. For a lot of the rounds Golovkin didn't do much activity at all in them & I felt was just giving the rounds away. I'm a Golovkin fan too so it's not like I'm biased or anything against him I just feel he genuinely lost.
Kov oulanded ward by a very small amount. Golovkin outlanded Jacobs by almost 60.
Because of knockdown Jacobs only wins if you find 7 rounds for him, which I think is a real stretch. Not crazy, but a stretch. Judges had it correct.
While idc who had who winning and thought the two fights could've gone either way, and I agree with Boxingscene LiveScore's card having it for GGG, that's not how you use compubox. You use it round by round. So GGG outlanding Jacobs by 60 punches in the end doesn't explain why he won.
I'm not arguing, idc if you had it for GGG or Jacobs or a Draw, i'm just saying that's not how you tell who won. A fight is not scored via compubox totals.
For example, Jacobs outlanded GGG in power punches department in 7 rounds to 5, so Jacobs landed more telling blows in more rounds. GGG's jabs seemed to have lead him to edge the fight, as he outlanded Jacobs in the jabs department in all 12 rounds. If you are looking for telling blows, you may have given it to Jacobs, if you care more about jabs, then you give it to GGG. To some, Jacobs power punches weren't enough to edge him rounds vs GGG's punches. Although the majority of fan scorecards have Jacobs winning. I think BS Live score had a good score though, for GGG, it shows the fight was close but GGG won and I have no issues with that.
You have to be batsh1t crazy to make this statement. Ward was dropped, landed less punches and took more damage.
Golovkin was the exact opposite - he dropped his opponent, landed 50 punches more and visibly inflicted more damage on his opponent.
Neither was a robbery they were both close fights and depending on a judges perception view and likes, you could easily have both losers crowned winners, and both could have easily been official draws.
Too much fan BS attached to close fights, judging is not black and white and operates inside a wide line, if a fight is close its easy for judges to be just either side of the edge and not be wrong, all the crying is from fans on the losing side.
To some here, that's all it is.

Are you giving DJ rounds for hitting GGG on the arms and gloves?

no dont be silly. they are giving him rounds for not being destroyed. thats the way you are supposed to score. ggg couldnt corner him therefore jacobs wins. put all the onus on ggg to do everything, ignore who was landing cleaner punches, and bam you got jacobs winning. do the same thing and you got ward winning. its a foolproof system. works everytime.
Thought both were clear and a KD erased any doubt that even a draw was plausible. I thought Kovalev was more dominant (than GGG) and Jacobs did (than Ward) but any other interpretation than a successful defense for the champion was that you wanted the result.
Kovalev 117-110 can see 116-111. GGG 115-112 can see 116-111.
