just curious.. what makes this guy the PPV guru? how does he know the "real" numbers? do you believe it.
Cool story. And much less embarrassing than, for instance, Canelo just did not want to fight somebody who could beat him. And decided to wait couple of years until that other fighter will start showing signs of age. But if your story is the best Golden Boy PR department came up with, tell them - they're failing miserably.
This right here!
I don't care about these things. Checking how much money fighters make is not why I follow boxing.
Well, understanding the financial aspects can give you a clearer understanding of why certain fights aren't getting made and who is really to blame.
If a guy is turning down 3 times his biggest career payday then you have to question his fighting spirit and how badly he really wants it.
Canelo won't give a crap if he gets sent "packing." He's got plenty of options and is going to make money regardless of whether Golovkin prices himself out or not.

Or he can just send hiking Canelo and all you loonies who are on his payroll. Golovkin is happy with a money he makes. He will continue to fight whoever has enough courage to fight him. After Canelo dropped the belt to avoid another fighter - he is no longer this attractive opponent to have on one's resume. History will judge him on what he done (or didn't do), not on how much money he made. Don't you dare tell "Golovkin needs..."! He knows what he needs without NSB posters telling him.

let's be honest.
No matter whose numbers we choose to believe the ggg-jacobs ppv didn't sell well. Certainly not enough to give ggg any leverage over canelo when it comes to negotiating the financials.
exactly..the numbers were horrible...good card..horrible numbers tho
Basically when he was first being used was by some GGG fans trying to expose GBP fighters and some of Floyd's fights. That all went downhill when Glaser came out with GGG's numbers for Lemiuex, he was no longer viewed as credible. But when he first started he was seen as the be all of PPV source. GGG fans would worship him until he unintentionally went against them.
100 percent truth..all the sh1t they did have came back to bite them in the ass..thats why they say "LET A FOOL BE A FOOL"
It's always been about who's the A-side, Canelo originally vacated the 160 titles because he didn't like the split they were going to give lil g who obviously didn't deserve it.
Canelo offered him 15 mill and lil g turned it down because he thinks he's the a-side. This fight should've happened and would've happened if lil g didn't duck.

The titles aren't going to make Golden Boy give GGG more money or a better purse split. That's fantasy land.
Golovkin just needs to take what they offer him and get Canelo in the ring. Beat him then he can call some shots for the rematch.

The sad thing is, people are so gullible, they'll believe any piece of "news".
Who needs sources when you've got narratives instead?
Every scrub in the industry is getting information from his mailman's dog's vet who is twice removed from a guy who cleans the floors down the road from one of the promoter's offsite locations. Or being hand-fed the information from a camp's PR firm.
Glasser strikes me as a guy that just wants attention. If those are the real numbers, what exactly does he get out of revealing them? Iirc, didn't he threaten to reveal the numbers if they didn't release them or something?
LOL. Never seen a sport where its fans are rooting for it to fail in the PPV or ratings. It's not even a fight between Salka or Garcia, it's a mandated fight between the #1 and #2 in the division, and it turned out to be what normal fans expected. It was a close competitive fight.
So the idea of a low number is to use it in forum arguments that the guy they hate so much doesn't deseve to get paid well. What a stupid sport full of fanatical phonies.
Preach! Kids nowadays are weird aren't they?

G doesnt think he's the A side. Cmon now, dont lie. He never said that once!
Without eachother, neither makes anything close to what theyre currently making, in fact, itll probably be the most either would make period!
Imo G is the best opponent Alvarez will face in his career not named Floyd Mayweather Jr. G is and has been the man at 160lbs period.
The argument that he beat the man (Cotto) makes him the best is bs imo. Its like saying Stevenson is the man at 175lbs. We all know that aint true. But nice try tho!
When did fans become fans of a, b and c sides? Yall got it phucked up! You should be more worried of why your fighters arent fighting other good/great fighters and securing legacy and legendary staus instead of who gets what.........kids these days

Just because you and like 2 other GGG supporters are good posters, out of about 100 GGG fans on this forum, and don't care about PPV's doesn't mean i'm gonna put the whole Glaser thing under the rug.
Look at the this 2014 Glaser/Mayweather-Maidana thread.
The usual suspects are in there. Like i've said before, I don't flip flop, i've called you, szef and natas good GGG fans and you see szef and natas in that thread not caring about the ppv numbers but you can see the rest of the 30 usual GGG fans in there gloating.

I honestly looked through each post on the first 15 pages of the thread. The closest I saw to gloating was Deranged saying "not surprising" and Redcyclone gloating. I did not recognize a single other Golovkin fan in there. A couple people said "If true,...". There were a ton of Pac fights who were gloating. I did not recognize any of them as 'new GGG fans'.
If you get insulted when people call out GGG fans, you shouldn't, everyone knows you're one of the good one's. You shouldn't feel like GGG fans speak for you, you speak for yourself. When I see people lumping all Floyd fans together because of something stupid they keep saying as a collective fanbase, that I don't agree with, I just ignore it or just say I don't agree with it. Like for example the new "GGG wants to go up to 168 to duck new 160 fighters". I called it stupid immediately and separated my thoughts from the anti-GGG fans and left it at that.I don't get insulted by any of that, I get annoyed with all the generalizations on NSB.

Great post.
For the record I always question Rick Glaser's numbers, then and now.
But if people gloated about them when it came to Floyd then it's only fair that they take sh1t for them when it's GGG's turn.
