First let me preface by saying that I am NOT a Canelo fan, I think he is pretty basic, but I do still think he would beat GGG.
With that said, this fight wasn't even close, Canelo won clearly. I don't know how anybody saw Lara winning this fight, Canelo was doing damage with them body shots, yeah Lara was flashy with those two piece combos and being "slick" running around but that doesn't win fights on my card. Canelo was busy, hustling, and crunching his man's body with hard ass body shots.
My final score was 116-112 Canelo, I was being generous to Lara by giving him round 10 and the final round 12, both rounds could have easily gone to Canelo still, but I do admire Lara's work as well despite his style not being fan friendly. 8 to 4 Canelo.
I watched this in preparation for the inevitable Canelo/GGG fight later this year (September?)
I will be watching Canelo vs Austin Trout next, I think thats another one some boxtards said Canelo lost... we'll see :lol1:
sit down clown you aint no aztec quit the pretence kid you aint falling nobody especially with that messican sig.
I ain't "falling" no one? I would sure hope not :lol1:
Relax boy, believe it or not there is Mexican boxing fans who are not Canelo groupies, I genuinely believe Canelo would beat GGG no bias no ulterior motive. Just like he beat Lara clean
I had Canelo BARELY edging that one. Problem was, Lara let the fight go in later rounds. Canelo learned from the Mayweather fight and found how to throw while chasing a guy (something Golovkin still doesn't know how to do).
Canelo v Lara comes down to how much you value power.
