Just not feeling this fight, was pumped for Golovkin v Brook even tho that was a mismatch. So far not hyped at all for this fight probs wont even buy it tbh, i feel the 24/7 was a little boring and failed to add excitment. Anyone else feel this way??
People said Bellew didn't have a chance and yet people were still hyped to see it, and look what happened there. I bet if they were fighting at press conferences more would be hyped about this one, but they're both reserved and it's not in their nature, but I'm still expecting fireworks. I don't really care if Golovkin is expected to KO Jacobs...waiting for a KO you know is bound to come during a fight is ALWAYS exciting! I got so tense watching Brook and Bellew knowing it could happen any minute.
This is a great match up. I'm excited.
I don't care about big mouth fighters who hype up their fights. I'd rather see 2 great fighters who do their talking with their fists, inside the ring.
true itll be non stop action, but lately ive just gone off golovkin, theres no exciting talk for this just monotone boring talkers. And with jacobs chin we all already know the result
True. I think because of Golovkin's recent inactivity there has been way too much talk and the two fights he did have last year were underwhelming.
This should hopefully fix that and be an exciting match which will line him up for a busy year. Also don't rule Jacobs out; his power and speed is the real deal.
I'm excited for it. GG pursues the action and his fights are usually exciting. This is his best opponent to date and, while GG is heavily favored to win, it should still be a fun fight for however long it lasts.
how can anyone not be hype for a fight that will not go the full 12?
sometimes just takes more then a ko for me to get hyped for a fight. Could be cause im looking forward to the hopeful GGG v canelo fight and see this as a stepping stone for golovkin
How are you not pumped? Guaranteed action, pretty much a guaranteed KO and likely the two best middleweights facing off?
The one thing I'll say is they'll have a tough time topping Lemieux/Stevens for action and that massive KO.
true itll be non stop action, but lately ive just gone off golovkin, theres no exciting talk for this just monotone boring talkers. And with jacobs chin we all already know the result
Jacobs is a much better fighter than Brook and Jacobs is a big middleweight with speed, skill, and lots of punching power. If you were excited about Brook fighting GGG and not excited about Jacobs fighting GGG you have a strange way of thinking about it. I am a big GGG fan and Jacobs is the best fighter he has ever faced. I look forward to him fighting the excellent Jacobs and Jacobs deserves this fight more than any other middleweight.
lololol
i thought many people believe golovkin has getting old and more vulnerable based on kell brook fight
it'll be way more exciting match than thurman-garcia
Maybe because the outcome is pretty much known to most, anything can happen in boxing and that is what makes the sport exciting. But no offence to Jacobs but i think the odds are stacked against him.
It's a combination of things. First it doesn't belong on PPV, neither fighter is a PPV fighter. Secondly, Jacobs is against all odds here, his chin is bad and we haven't seen GGG get hurt like ever. Lastly, outside of Quilin we don't have much to on for Jacobs other than guys like Mora and Truax and Pirog (which was a loss). Jacobs hasn't fought anyone except Quillin in his run between the Pirog loss and GGG. And the Mora KD in 2015 isn't something that will just go away from people's heads.
With Brook, the thing is that every fight between two good undefeated fighters are always hyped. Brook is a very good WW who went up 2 weight classes and that always adds even more hype. Also Brook is not chinny, even in his loss to GGG he showed how good his chin was.
I think these are some of the things that stop fans from being too excited about the fight.
