If boxing is about who you have fought why does Crawford receive so much praise.

Crawford has a very strong resume...don't know what the title of this thread is attempting to suggest. Also, the manner in which Crawford wins is very impressive. Crawford just looks very "complete", as they say. None of those fighters on his resume are special.

Crawford's resume is pretty weak. Postal is a very good win, but other than that, he's beaten C+ fighters at best. However, once HBO has decided an undefeated American fighter is amazing, then people fall into line behind them. There is absolutely no reason for a P4P fighter to be camped out in boxing's weakest division, when all the money, all the best opponents and all the prestige are all waiting for him at Welterweight.

Agreed. Although, I can understand both sides of the argument here. Crawford will have to keep doing what he's doing. Exactly he cant sit on the fence he has to make those big fights to complete the journey.

Lundy, Beltran, Dulmore, Burns, Postol, and an undersized Gambia doesn't scream anything special. People act like this guy is the second coming but he hasn't fought anyone great. So what's up with all the hype? Thurman and Lima have beat better fighters but you don't hear anyone praising them like they do Crawford. Thats a great list of names tbh. And he always fought the best in his weight class. You may say Burns is bad, but he was the best and Crawford brutalized him in his home town with fans going nuts. Gamboa was a fast handed tricky fighter and Crawford figured him out and broke him down, amazing. Lundy has glass but he is a tricky fighter as well

Postol destroys Matthysee, but after Crawford schools Postol, Viktor is suddenly garbage because it fits the script better. Gamboa is undefeated outside Crawford and everyone thinks he's a great fight for Loma. But, it means nothing for Crawford to finish him. In fact, people act as if it hurts Bud's resume, even though they're dying for Loma to do the same. Anything to fit one's bias I suppose... Well Crawford is much bigger than Gamboa and Lomachenko. Boxing isn't the NBA or MLB. It's not about who you fought because there are no truly mandatory fights. We are in an age where a elite hall of fame level fighter can be avoided by other so called elites for an entire career. It should be about resume in an ideal world, but professional boxing is a weird world.
