Richard Schaefer and Kalle Sauerland and 'other international business partners' are having a press conference tomorrow in NY. Hmmmm....
OK answers are coming out, I'm liking what I'm hearing about it so far!
I think Promoters need to get in on this, why not send your fighters to be apart of something like this. Would be GREAT for young new talent trying to make a name for themselves though that who I kinda hope they target more so than Veterans who will try to be Divas and ruin this thing!

But the $50 million in prize money will be paramount. Schaefer estimates winner will come away with $10 million. That's big

Also, there will be reserve fighters ticketed for undercard to protect against injury, fighters withdrawing, etc
Still a lot of questions to be answers, does that mean fighters have to SIGN with WBSS or is it open invitation to ALL willing to join even if they have a Contract with another Promoter
Boxing gets own version of Champions League: £42m mega prize up for grabs

The introduction of a revolutionary new tournament could be set to change the face of the sport.
The World Boxing Super Series is being lined up to start in September across two weight divisions with the newly created Muhammad Ali trophy also on offer.
Eight boxers will compete in each weight class in a knockout competition a pot of around £21m for each division.
Boxers from the top 15 of the WBO, IBF, WBA and WBC rankings – the sport’s four major governing bodies – will be invited to join the tournament.
The quarter-finals will take place in September and October in venues around the globe.
The semi-finals will then be in January and February 2018 with the division deciders in May.
Swiss promoter Richard Schaefer, who recently started working in the sport again following a hiatus after his acrimonious split with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions, has joined forces with German-based Kalle Sauerland to help make this ambitious project a reality.
Comosa AG, described as “a Swiss-registered company with principal owners from the world of marketing (Highlight Event & Entertainment), broadcasting (Modern Times Group) and the world of boxing (Team Sauerland)”, will back the tournament.
Schaefer, who has the title of Comosa’s Chairman of the Americas, said: “I have been involved in the sport for a long time and boxing has really been missing a big tournament like the World Boxing Super Series.
“Every major sport has one. This is a fascinating idea and I am thrilled to be involved. The quality of the people behind this tournament ensures it will be a success.”
Sauerland, who is Camosa’s Chief Boxing Officer, added: “Comosa AG are proud to announce a close cooperation with the family of the greatest boxer of all time, Muhammad Ali, and we are delighted to honour his legacy with this tournament.
“Whoever emerges as the winner of the World Boxing Super Series will rightfully receive the greatest prize in boxing, the Muhammad Ali Trophy.”
