It beat out NBA Basketball which was on at the same time on ABC, that is HUGE for boxing! The problem with boxing is CONSISTENCY. Wish it was possible to have a decent card on every weekend instead of having these Gaps like boxing does where you get a big Weekend like last week both in the UK with Haye and Bellew and Thurman vs Garcia here in the States then you get absolutely NOTHING this Week but you do get GGG vs Jacobs in 10 Days which is great!
awful figures. haymon doesnt know how to promote these pbc fighters, that should have been a huge domestic event, two unbeaten americans.
how tf is this awful numbers??
Awesome numbers... Now let's not let these guys sit for 10 months without a fight! You wanna build a brand and keep it going strong, keep the stars in the spotlight. Get Garcia and Broner in there in July and Thurman-Peterson in August.. Build the brand and the stars consistently..
100% - momentum is everything. This 5.1mil number goes to waste if Garcia & Thurman go into hiding for the rest of the year.
Make hay while the sun shines, as they say.

youre a fuking retard, this isnt the uk
It shows that fights between big names will still do big numbers and catch the public's interest. Those aren't some small numbers either, those are really good for any show.

What ya think of those # it on the pbc instagram page
I really doubt that number. What's the source? I think the live viewing figures owuld be a lot less. If those are correct figures I think they probably include people watching replays of the fight and watching it recorded via tvo or whatever they have in the us.
This is both good and bad for boxing. Nice that so many fans tuned in, but they were subjected to an uneventful fight that wouldn't or couldn't live up to expectations. Hopefully they continue to tune in after this one.
Wrong.
Fight was good but not great. No reason to think that will chase away casuals.
I swear, boxing fans love to eat their own.
