I bet you Bellew's fights from now on will be PPV. I'm 100% sure of it too. Clev/Bellew 2 did bigger numbers than Quigg/Frampton so he's already kind of a draw and this fight would've got his name out there even more. I'd be surprised if he is a supporting act or headlines a free show again.
Nobody is paying for a Bellew fight unless its a freak matchup, i.e Bellew vs Jousha, or Wilder.
But a Haye rematch will set his future on a next level, a lot of money to be made
Haha yeah, the size difference between the two when they are together is pretty comical.
It would be the same against Bum Squad. At least he and Haye were kind of a similar size.
That wouldn't stop Eddie Hearn chucking them up against each other, if he he could work it somehow.
"Hey Tony .... You against AJ would be MASSIVE .. I mean, fucking MASSIVE! Do you think he might be on something, Tony? Do you Tony? .. Do you think AJ might be on PED's?"
:lol1::lol1:

In his post fight interview, Bellew said he had no intention of "stepping up to the big man" (AJ) So we can rule that one out, thank God!

Haye carried that entire fight yet they're on about penalising him on Wednesday, dude should just contribute to charity, if these dummy Brits are prepared to be fooled by this hype why should Haye be sanctioned. I wouldn't pay these fücks nata, he's the one selling the event making the money the guy clearly doesn't need them as when he obtained a licence elsewhere, why should profiteer ?
Two guys who know how to sell a fight.
A bit of needle does wonders for numbers.
If Haye had KO'ed Bellew and if Joshua got past Wlad, man, they would of sold a lot of PVV's. Especially if they got a bit spiteful in the build up.

I told them it was worth sticking a few quid on Bellew. The odds were pretty ridiculous for a two horse race, and like you say, we didn't really know how much Haye had left.
I said that a Haye KO was favourite, but it's HW boxing, you never know!!
I was so close to putting a bet on Bellew to win inside the distance myself, but I'm not really a betting man, so I never got round to taking my own advice!
Just sent you a PM about Tyson and Hughie Fury, btw.

Most of my workmates and friends outside work were talking about this fight and asking me questions about it. I was also asked about it by guys in pubs I didn't even know personally, but who had been told by others that I was a "boxing expert" Lol.
I told them all the same thing: That it was obvious from his 2 fights last year that Haye's foot speed and agility had gone. He might not be able to catch Bellew early, and if it went more than 5 rounds, Bellew would be my pick to win and he could well do it by KO.
So now my "boxing expert" rep is enhanced. But I must admit, even I didn't expect David Haye to break down so dramatically and suddenly.

This. Drama sells fights. I had lads who have no interest in boxing asking about the beef & wanting details about the fight. It was biggest British fight since Froch-Groves II

Bellew does a pretty good job of selling a fight.
I know some people who bought Cleverly v Bellew 2 and they barely watch boxing. Whether people like Bellew or not, he uses Sky Sports coverage as a platform to really sell his fights.

The guy is a good salesman and dramatic. He deserves all the success.

Fuck! Tony Bellew is a bigger draw than Anthony Joshua!

Haye is a bigger name. It's only that he knows he is washed up which is why he has been fighting bums but there shouldn't be any comparison between Haye and Joshua. It's too early for Joshua to match Haye at the box office.
Joshua-Haye would have been the biggest British fight in history, shame we'll never get to see it now.
