The winner of Brook-Spense is not next. But it would be great if he could officially retire Bradley and Pac this year then get the winner of spense-Brook in the first half of next year.
Thurman just put himself in the drivers seat big time. I'd love to see the Porter rematch too.
I just hope Haymon keeps Thurman hot and give him these fights and give him them fast. Haymon needs to keep Thurman active. He has a mini cash cow in Thurman and he needs to put him at the forefront of his stable.
agreed. pbc will marinate the spence-thurman fight until next year. the porter-berto winner may get spence later on in the year. peterson is thurman's mandatory, so that'll probably be next.
I suspect the Porter/Berto probably Porter, winner will fight the Brook/Spence winner, probably Spence... Thurman would probably want it that way being that he's taken two fights to Spence's one. Thurman probably fights Peterson his mandatory in June/July, which besides getting a mandatory out of the way is a decent fight.
Spence-Brook winner (Spence, imo)
Then the Pac-Khan winner (Pac, imo)
A Pac fight would def be a "passing of the torch" kind of thing.
Would have been better if Floyd had fought Thurman, since May is the real WW champ, but you know... just didn't work out like that.
Spence/Brook Winner or Pac (if he beats Khan)
Peterson should fight the Porter/Berto winner.
If Spence wins against Brook and Pac beats Khan.
I expect, Thurman vs Pac. Spence vs Peterson/Porter/Berto.
If Brook wins.. I expect Pac.vs Brook in UK.
Thurman vs Peterson/Porter(rematch)/Berto
Who do you think he should fight next?
The winner of Pac vs Khan would be the most lucrative fight for him. The winner of Spence vs Brook will be the toughest fight for him though.
I'd love to see him in with Tim Bradley. That is a step up, Tim is elite and has the pedigree and experience to show Thurman things he hasn't seen yet. Its the type of fight that you would want if you are in Thurman's camp.
Its a step up in level and a big name in the sport but Bradley is probably a couple of years past his best now, so its a fight Thurman should win if he performs to the best of his abilities, but its also a fight he can lose if he doesn't. Its definitely a measuring stick type of match up. They are both big personalities who are born winners.
