An argument over whether or not a fighter was staggered smh as if the lsightest stagger means a fight should be stopped. Anyway, I'm gonna bump this thread if Wilder ever steps up in comp and loses to the first top level heavy he fights (AJ, Wlad, Tyson....heck even Parker whups him).

I dont see how a fighter being staggered (whic he was without a odubt) is enough to simply stop the fight. Its clear the ref was told to stop it at the eraliest sign of the trouble. I'm surprise dhe didnt wave it off after the first kd lol All of that is besides the point: Wilder has now looked bad against 4 sub par opponents. Seriously bad.

So did Washington "casually walk away" or was he staggering? His legs were totally unsteady when "walking" around.

Go look at motor city cobras gif at the end it clearly shows exactly what i posted and thats Washington who casually walks away after the wave off by the ref . Wilder had him hurt but the fight should have continued .....its a title fight . I was there, don't need the gif. But you're entitled to your opinion.

I agree. He hasn't. But that doesn't mean he's "done". There's a big difference between "unproven" and "done". The title of this thread uses the word "done".:burnup: He's done because in the last 3 years, he has regressed as a fighter. I can not imagine him betaing any worthy heavyweights. You keep saying no one is available but AJ and Wlad are done by April 20 something. 22nd isnt it? I cant remember. the winner is available. The purse bid is called for in 30 days from yesterday. What happens first that purse bid or April 22nd? They won't have anything set in stone that Wilder is fighting the winner but that is not really down to Wilder because that winner wouldn't want to be tied down like that. There is no way for them to really put that off further unless Parker become free because Fury's drug situation but that still has to play out. It is what it is, if and maybes are not going to make this go away, so better to just bite the bullet fight Stiverne and get it over with unless Parker becomes available but he is still going to have to fight Stiverne in his next few fights.

Wilder hasn't had a mandatory in a long time which is part of the reason I am sure in just naming Stiverne the mandatory rather than having him jump through hoops. There is no one available for unification, so there is no one he could say is on the hook for a mandatory so there is no possible unification right now. I have already said I was not really on board with their decisions because 1) Stiverne has done anything since losing to Wilder and 2) he barely won a round in that fight so if a guy gets dominated they should have to go above and beyond to get a mandatory shot. I am not the WBC though so my opinion on the matter doesn't mean a thing, it is just a fight WIlder has to do to keep the belt. As long as it is done quickly he can get to better fights in the fall which would be the case anyway considering the other guys are fighting in late April and early May anyway so as long as they go quickly it is better than fighting it and only having to end up in the same spot. You either do not watch enough boxing or are purposefully missing the point. Purse bids can be postponed, mandos can be postponed in face of a possible unification. On top of all that, Stiverne does not even deserve to be a mando, or do you think he does? Boxing has never seen this type of fighter before, especially in the HW division. He changing the game, taking over doe. I have made a request to the HoF that a special discretionary addendum be made and Deontay is included with immediate effect. They literally ordered negotiations to start today for that fight and a purse bid in 30 days. Parker is tied up and so are Wlad and Joshua until well after the purse bid. They aren't letting him wait around to see what may or may not happen what don't you get about that. Im trying to decipher this classic piece right here. So his stamina is done because he is scared of injuring his hand again and because he is easy to catch? What does stamina have to do with any of that? :crackhead I didn't articule it well I guess lol Basically, he doesnt want to throw too many punches because he naturally feels he may break his hands again (latter day Naz is the example I gave). The stamina issues also play a part though,. as he lacks the fitness to continuously throw as many punches as he used to.
