Even after getting thoroughly beaten to the point that he narrowly escaped having his career ended by GGG in his last fight, Brook now believes that by beating Spence he'll become the p4p #1 fighter in the world. Seems Golovkin did more damage to Brook than originally suspected?

Eddie Hearn is doing a terrible job at promoting Kell Brook! (Borderline pathetic)...
I am not sure why, all of his logic and commonsense goes out of the window every time he sorts a fight for Brook! Kell Brook could of done allot better against Golovkin if he had afew tune up fights at 160! anybody who has ever studied exercise physiology understands? that it takes bones, ligaments and tendons a longer duration to adapt to a new weight class! this is due to the cell turnover of the different tissues/organs in your body. Muscles cells turnover at a very fast rate! This is why you can recover from high intensity training sessions theoretically in 48 hours! but your bones have a very slow turnover, it takes approximately 6 months for your bones to completely remodel themselves and adapt to a new environment!
Kell Brooks bone structure, was not prepared or ready for Golovkin's punching power! Brook was moved too fast into the 160 pound division by Eddie Hearn! and as a result of this? the remainder of his career inside of the ring as a fighter may be negatively effected!
Kell Brook should now be fighting at 154!
Brooks only fought one decent welterweight in his entire career and he's avoided many others. And Porter isn't even elite level, he got beaten by Julio Diaz but got away with a draw. On paper, Brook probably doesn't even make the top 5 at 147 until he gets a bunch of decent fights under his belt.
According to you maybe. I don't need to see him beat every name left around the top, the eye test hasn't failed me since Berto, resume isn't everything when you analyze a fighter. How you beat who you beat matters sometimes more than who you've beaten alone.
He may be delusional thinking it will earn him p4p #1, but he should be the favorite against spence, and I expect Brook to win. He may not be p4p #1 with a victory over Spence but he is #1 at WW without even fighting Spence, no question.

You've got to be kidding me.
I was thinking the same thing lol, all Brook has done is beat Porter slightly and get his face broken by Golovkin, we have Pacquiao at #1, Thurman at #2, and Bradley at #3, then comes Brook at #4, no Way in hell is he #1 until he beats Pacquaio or at least the Thurman/Garcia winner
Any bragging fool can call himself the best fighter in the world. That means nothing. What means something is when lots of boxing fans call you the best or even one of the best fighters in the world. Brook is coming off a KO loss to GGG and he out weighed GGG on fight night. He is a long way from being PFP the best or even in the top 10 best. I think Spence will give Brook a crash course in the reality that he isn't the special one.
No. Not even close. I'd argue that the winner of Thurman/Garcia will take the crown as kind of 147, Leaving Pac as either 2 or 3 depending on what kind of performances Brook and Spence tune in. Make no mistake, unless it's sheer dominance, Brook and Spence are fighting to earn the #2 in their division - nevermind P4P.
You've got to be kidding me.
No one has beat him, no one can in that division. The best shot is Bradleys.
Brook beats Pac, Thurman, Porter, Spence, Garcia, and anyone else. The last two fighters to be able to beat him are Floyd and Maidana, and both are gone. The division has been Brooks, he hasn't been as active as one would hope but let's not pretend like he isn't the top dog.

Wait, Spence, the guy Brook said he didn't want to fight because he was a nobody?? It's one or the other buddy...
Brook has the same problem with contradiction that Amir Khan has. These guys are soul mates.
