Question For GGG Fans: Are you Satisfied with GGG's Level of Opposition?

Satisfied or not, what can you do about it? Fighters of today are of the one-fight-a-year, opportunistic, fearful Haymon fighter variety.

I think most acknowledge that Golovkin's resume is lacking, the debate revolves more around why it is relatively poor and what he should do about it. "They ducking doe" isn't an answer. It's been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that there's jack sh1t HE can do. He's tried everything you can possibly think of. He's increased his popularity by 10000% in 3 years, he's got on a p4p list, he became mandatory to different titles, he collected the belts so all roads lead through him, he's called out the guys he wants to fight, he was able to host a PPV, he's traveled the world, he's been at every promotional event from Mexico to the UK. The dude has not been sitting on his ass like Lara occasionally sending tweets through his manager. He's worked his ass off. But these guys stay ducking, hard. At this time, the only way he'll get some of these guys to grow balls is if Bill Gates decided to sponsor him and pay his opponents millions upon millions. IMO it's the responsibility of the boxing organizations, other boxers, and fans not to let these puss1es get away with crap like this. Thus it's not a question of what HE should do. He'll make the best of his situation.

People think that magically, if he beats Canelo, that will fix everything. In hindsight, they will acknowledge that Canelo is a very good fighter - but not a great one, and that it didn't add as much as they thought to GGGs resume. He's ruler over a weakish division in a weakish era, and avoided. The shame of it is that he is too old to for there to be fresh talent coming up to challenge him at his peak.

GGG haters think there's a bunch of hall of famers running around that ggg can fight.

I am satisfied that he is a good champion who defends his title more often than any other champion. He fights the best guys who will sign the contract. It's not his fault many of the best middleweights refuse to fight him. He already KOed champion Lemieux and will fight champion Jacobs soon. How many other champions have fought 2 other champions in their weight class?

I voted no. I'm not sure it's his fault though.

Jacobs is a great start. Then Canelo, Charlo, Ward/Kovalev, Degale. He has the opponents around his weightclass to build that top class resume.

Greetings again. So, as the title states, I'm looking to find out from GGG fans, and boxing fans as a whole, whether or not you're satisfied with GGG's level of opposition. This isn't a troll thread, and I'm genuinely curious as to whether or not you guys are happy with it. Discuss! As long as there is a high possibility of a win....especially by ko....they couldn't care less about his opposition, yet criticize other fighters n expect more from them .....hypocrites n dick riders

Its a weak division even now Jacobs is not a great fighter he is a good fighter yet he is the best opponent at MW. GGGs resume for his age is weak when the best name on it is a WW that himself hasn't proved to be even a great WW yet, none of it is Gs fault its just happens to be timing and no outstanding opposition at MW. I believe the one fight he could have taken that would have shut down every doubter on the planet was Ward, and I also believe he wanted nothing to do with Ward because the odds were Andre would beat him, so that kinda puts me against Genady a little bit, I think he is a potential great MW and he is running out of time to stamp that defining fight, Jacobs is not it ! Im talking winning the fight where the majority thinks he will lose such as against Ward, that's a defining fight. But god dam he got unreal power.

I'm not "satisfied", but I don't blame Golovkin for all the people ducking him in his chosen division. The MW division isn't stacked. He could "move up", but dominating MW is Golovkin's longstanding dream. I respect that.

No but its not like he hasnt been chasing big fights for 4 years. How can you hate a guy for being ducked? Makes no sense. I also laugh at the ducking Ward accusation. When has Ward ever fought a guy 2 weightclasses above him?

I said yes, because I feel like he's fought everybody who's willing to fight him. He wanted to fight Canelo, Saunders, Jacobs, etc. . .forever now and they've all ducked him, up to this point. I don't believe he's obligated to move up or down in weight. He's the middleweight champ & he's done everything that could be expected of him as the middleweight champ.

No, but it's not all entirely his fault. He should accept the Alvarez fight even though he doesn't get the lion's share. Beat Alvarez and you're in the driver's seat. It's to bad such a good fighter has so little leverage in getting the best fights made.
