F*ck Browne but will The Duck find a way to duck Browned too? Just like he's ducked everyone else. Both with Haymon and Showtime, right? Stevenson will find a way to duck somehow. :lol1:
Should be an easy fight for Stevenson as well, no?
Don't call him a duck because everybody else does.
Use your own brain.:lol1:
Duva called for a purse bid...got it....then walked away.
That's not Stevenson's fault.
Did you see the way Kovalev walked away from his own post fight interview when he saw Stevenson?
Who's scared of who?
A few days ago I might have agreed with you. However, his latest duck of Smith means I just can't keep looking away anymore. They didn't even deny it. Dibella just said we want the fight but not now, maybe later.
Like wtf? He has no opponent lined up but won't make the fight? Come on bro the writting is on the wall.
Also this HBO/Showtime thing is no longer an excuse. We seen pbc fighters fighting on HBO before so what's the deal?
that's not how any of this works, lol

Adonis Stevenson is the WBC's light heavyweight champion, fighting out of a home base that is built to draw money, full stop.
He'll stay as active as he wants to be, and he'll fight the mandatory challenger whenever the WBC names one, but there's no other real leverage against the guy.
Is Marcus Browne mandatory? No. Does Marcus Browne have the type of profile to draw extra money to the table? Maybe (American Olympian, fighting out of one of the hotter boxing markets, backing of TV in his camp, etc). Is Marcus Browne in any position to dictate any type of terms for the fight? No.
With the big win, Marcus Browne's name is now firmly in the mix, but he's not heading any lists just yet.
Stevenson would put an asswhooping to everyone in the division, including Ward and Kovalev. Unfortunately, that won't stop him from ducking all of them. The pimp is a coward, plain and simple.
I got no faith in Stevenson to fight anyone worthwhile these days til he proves otherwise. That said idk that Browne is a guy who Stevenson will feel like can merk him so maybe Browne does get the fight who knows.
I'm not too interested in anything Stevenson does til he fights Ward, Kovalev or Beterbiev. And f#ck he should be wanting big fights at this point cuz he's on some old timers game bs at this point & before he's all done in the game. Tend to expect him to just get beat by some guy like Browne or a random in an upset to end his reign & officially take him off the people anyone should give a f#ck about list.
Waste of legit talent, but sh^t if money with as little risk as possible is more important than anything else fair play to him he made the right choice I guess.
Maybe he knows something we don't know. Maybe age is catching up to him? So, he might be looking to cash out.
Stevenson is literally going to fight the guy that brings most money with least amount of risk.
If I gotta say a name, Lucien bute
I started reading your post and I was like yea... no way he fights Barrera OR Beterbiev. Bute is a good call.
Lol but will Stevenson be willing to fight either one of them two? Regardless of who wins. :lol1:

Very true... I guess winner of that fight will be in line for Adonis..

I;m telling you this ****errr is ruining that great division..It would be such a great divisions if he would just fight credibe contenders.
**** stevenson
Brown's inexperience has already been exposed, he was given a gift his last fight
Part of the growing pains of getting experience..
Ward
Kovolev
Khan
Hatton
Floyd
Manny
All had bad fights early in their career, but the hope is that the prospect can learn, grow and ultimately improve. Most of the time when a blue chip prospect struggles it's due to lack of ring generalship, which usually improves with experience. Sometimes in the case of bojado, cintron, jleon the prospect doesn't improve and instead of going from prospect to contender/champ they go from prospect to gatekeeper
Time will tell with Browne.
Most likely they will fight in a year, but beterbiev will probably be the one to dethrone Stevenson, and then Browne will fight Beterbeiv
Beterbiev still has to get past Barrera though.
