Wouldn't it be easier if board of controls allowed boxers to take PED's that don't cause too much damage to thier heart, lungs, etc.
-Allowing certain PED's would create a level playing field.
-Boxers would be able to heal quicker and therefore fight more often.
-Boxers careers would be extended, so we would get to see the likes of Mayweather, Pacquiao, Mosley etc for longer.
-PED's bring the best out of athletes, and with Boxing being a spectator sport, that is what the audience wants to see.
-The health concerns of Peds don't match the more negative effects of being punched in the head repeatedly.
This sounds idealistic more than reality. Like its something you'd like to believe more than you do believe it.
It'd be nice if only the weak willed among competitors had the desire to do PED's, but the reality is weak, average & strong willed are all using PED's. For the most part you don't even see the full benefits of PED's if you are half assing it or at least see benefits like you see when you are strong willed & in the gym all the time working on gains by the inch.
You are obviously a steroid abuser, and i have upset you! I am not even going to bother, entertaining your justification of performance enhancing drugs! testosterone and growth hormone are hormones that are released and produced by the human body due to a stimulus such as? Exercise, with obviously a correct diet as well! Taking this information into consideration? if you have to inject these same synthetic hormones into your body, to create a unnatural short cut to your athletic success? that's is the definition of being weak willed ......if you have to create unnatural short cuts to achieve your success? you are essential a weak willed individual! (Its as simple as that!).
Boxing is a sport that has prided itself on the strength of human will! Human will power is something you cannot measured in a scientific laboratory, because it is something beyond biology! And ultimately that is the legacy of boxing on fundamental level, not performance enhancing drugs! Human spirit, where there is a will, there is a way!
Don't quote me again in this thread, or insult me with more justifications for the legalization of performance enhancing drugs....
This sounds funny, but I suspect it could be not unlike catchweighting now. Hell some fans already speculate this sorta thing is going on now when guys decide to not use VADA or USADA testing.
I think this is why more power players (all the abc groups, commissions, HBO & Showtime) need to take more leadership on PED testing. Well IF they are serious about stopping PED's, which is a legit question in my & many fans minds.
And I tend to believe the power players in boxing aren't fans of PED testing cuz all it can do is f#ck up their day when someone pops & I think they realize better than most talking about this stuff that there is very lil upside in the actual testing cuz most fans don't really give a f#ck about PED's all things considered. I mean come on if you think the biggest problem, or is among the top problems, in boxing is PED usage I think you have been too stockholm syndrome'd from all the f#cked up-ness of the current boxing universe.
Who knows now days, theres too much money invested to loose and too much money to be gained, boxing is so corrupt, just got to choose to ignore all the ****ery goin on n get excited for match ups there given us, ive grown out of caring about all of it, match ups, level playing field, catchweights, ducking, promoters, managers
If the fighters wana allow it in there fight why not, they should ask each other if they want to cheat or allow cheating
this sounds like a much better system than the floyd system where only he is allowed to cheat. either both or none in my opinion.
No......boxing is on a fundamental level has always prided itself on being a honorable sport! making Performance enhancing drugs legal in this sport, totally destroys its honor! (People look up to athletes because they show you not what the human body can achieve, but sometimes what the human spirit and will can achieve).
Steroid abusers are the weakest "Willed" of all men.
no it hasn't. its always been corrupt. lets not pretend.
