Spence's best wins are algeri and bundu. Brook would of stopped little bundu in 3 rds or less and same with algeri in much more impressive fashion. Brook is much faster on his feet. Spence is too flat footed to outbox spence. Just watch him in the amateurs getting outboxed by a khazakh.Brook wins a UD. And lol at you turds who kept making threads every day saying brook is ducking. How does it feel to be so wrong?
Brook beating Spence doesn't make Golovkins win any better, he still beat a WW. Stupid Golovkin nuthugger. :lol1:
You should go back to school because your comprehension is atrocious, let's go trough this slowly so you don't get confused nuffy, do you think spence hits harder than GGG, the answer is either yes or no (I don't want to hear how much you hate GGG)
I didn't know Brook was the betting favorite. I guess he should be the favorite with his proven record as a top welterweight. I think Spence will score an upset win and show the world what a great fighter he is.
Maybe Brook beats Spence in your dreams but not in real life. You are giving Brook credit for a 3rd round KO win over both Bundu and Algieri in your fantasy fights. Spence actually did KO both of them in real fights. Real wins are much better than imaginary wins.
SRL had never fought at 160 before he faced Hagler, and it was also his comeback fight back after 2 years "retired" - no tune-ups.
Kell Brook has fought multiple times at SWW, many more times than SRL did before beating Hagler.
Yeah, good wasn't he Sugar Ray Leonard!
I think the Kazakh from the ams you're referring to is Serik Sapiyev, one of the greats of the modern era
As for Brook-Spence, I agree that Brook is the better boxer but if Spence can keep the pressure up for twelve rounds it could get very tough for Brook in the latter stages
it is more the historical context but I take your point.
It has happened once in professional boxing that a reigning welter has won a 160 pound title.
So in response to a post that said guys like Hopkin's made a career of bashing welterweights. That is not strictly true since those your ODLH and Trinidad had fights at both 154 and 160 before fighting Hopkins.
What GGG did was beat a career welterweight. GGG is very good but I am not comparing him to Hagler but more how special would a welterweight have to be to beat him in his first fight at 160. SRL good - is probably not a bad shout imo.

By saying Brook ain't SRL you must be assuming GGG is on the same level as Hagler!
No two match-ups in boxing are ever identical, either in the circumstances or the levels of the fighters involved. When comparing them there will always be some difference you can pick out and and play that good old "Yeah, but .." game.

There we go then. Brook is good but he ain't feckin Sugar Ray Leonard.
Just looked it up Emile Griffith is 1966 is the last reigning welter champ to win a middleweight championship.
Fair enough for GGG to batter him Brook in the end but put in the context of history it's not great is it?

Spence has a bad recovery time I believe. In the Lartey fight, he was hit with the FIRST flush head snapping shot at the end of round 7,he went queer street in the last 10 seconds. Then in round 8, he was still buckled and refused to engage with Lartey till the end of the fight. I know that was 2013 but recovery time is genetics.
Lol, sounds like pure bro science.....
Before the GGG fight I gave the Brook the edge. Not so sure now. It'll be pretty hard to overcome the weight issue and injured eye while fending off a hungry contender like Spence.....
Good test for Spence. Although also a good test for brook who only several months back was claiming he was naturally a middleweight! we'll see how he does coming back down in weight. Could be dangerous.
There have been many WWs who moved up and won world titles at MW. The most famous example is Sugar Ray Leonard beating Hagler.

I really want to see what Spence is made of, this is whole different level for him so yeah I want to see how or what he does in there, over the last 5/6 years only two fighters have gain the respect of their fellow boxers in the gym. GGG and Spence, I have heard others talking about these two even before they became known to the boxing public, so far GGG is passing the punching power test, now lets see Spence and what he can do against tougher opponent, so far he seems to be improving as his opponent level goes up.
There is tbh.
I am sure a history buff will tell us who the last welter to beat The Middleweight champ was. But I doubt many of us were alive.

Brook˙s best win is Porter, it was clinching all night long. Spence will not allow him this. Spence punches harder than anybody Brook has faced at 147.
Brook can win this but it will be close.
If he does then good, if spence wins then good as well. Fans just want to see the best fights
100% agree.
We had some awful fights last year. So as boxing fans it is our job to support the good fights whenever they get made.
