Or is he greater than even Muhammad Ali?
Look at his record: 41-2-1. 32 KOs out of his 41 victories. Avenged both of his losses. Made that one Draw right by winning the rematch immediately after. Whopped Tyson and Holyfield's asses (especially Tyson's.)
I would have loved to have seen Ali vs Lewis. Total beast of a fight.
Who was Lenox's:
Liston
Foreman
Frazier
???
LMFAO at people saying he beat Tyson as if that was some amazing accomplishment at the time oh and him beating a tiny Holyfield in comparison lol. The monsters Ali beat were the same size if not then bigger, he didn't hold any size or weight advantage over his greatest foes like Lewis did and Wlad did for so long.
Who the hell else can say they lost 3 years of their physical prime and came back to win in some of his greatest fight.
People thought Foreman was going to kill the well past prime Ali damn it.
There will never be another like him, ever!
To me, it just shows that anything can happen and anyone can get caught. Him avenging those losses and having an illustrious career otherwise still speaks for itself. The positives still far, far outweight the negatives.
Ali was knockjed down by banks when he was 20.
As for whos greater its down to what yoiu prefer really.
Ali fight better guys, and he danced better on feet and moire pleasant to watch. Lennox hit harder and head toi head might be favoured to beat Ali.
So its a pick em em. But I pick a!i
Two KO losses in the middle of his prime to two guys who aren't that good hurts him. It's admirable that he avenged both losses by KO but he never should have been KOed by them in the first place. What if Mayweather had been KOed by both Ortiz and Guerrero and then KOed both of them in rematches. That would greatly lessen how good of fighter most fans thought him to be. Lewis avenging those two KO losses doesn't make them go away. Still Lewis is one of the best heavyweights of all time. I think the Ali who beat Cleveland Williams before he was not allowed to box would beat any version of Lewis. Before Ali was forced out of boxing in the middle of his prime he was extremely hard to beat. He had hand and foot speed that no 210 pound heavyweight has ever matched. Ali did loses his share of fights when he was past prime.

Lennox was the best of his era. The era just after Tyson and hokyfield that is.
But lennox. was being outboxed by bruno un til Bruno ran out of steam.
Lennox relied on power. He looked ponderous compared to Ali.
Lennox is top 5 though
I hope this a troll thread OR we have a lot of UK boxing fans on here.
Like srsly?
Better than Joe Louis, Archie Moore, Ezzard Charles, Jack Dempsey, Jack Johnson, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Rocky Marciano, Larry Holmes, & a prime Mike Tyson?
No.
Lennox fought bums in a bum ass era.
He beat Holyfield & Tyson when they were wayyyy past their primes.
It's not his fault that he fault in a terrible era, but it is his fault he lost to Haseem Rahman
Lennox was a talented guy FOR HIS TIME. He is not an immortal.
Apart from Marciano what other heavyweight dominated his division and defeated every man he ever faced?
What other heavyweight had the skillset along with the strength/power and size that came along with it? Probably no one.
You forget that Ali was robbed of his prime. who knows what he could of achieved in those 3/4 years he was robbed of.

If Ali was hit by the punch Corrie landed on Lewis he would have got up and recovered. If Frazier had landed the punch he landed on Ali in their first fight Lewis would not have gotten up. Sorry, but Ali had it all...speed, power and an almost supernatural ability to recover quickly. Lewis is up there but Ali is the greatest HW of all time without a doubt.
No because it was proven more than once that it only took one punch to beat him. This was done by average fighters.
Also another average fighter in Mercer outjabbed him, Lewis was lucky to win that fight.
If all it took was one good punch to take him out and yet he managed to amass the number of victories and accolades that he did regardless, that would only make him look more impressive. Hater.
Well, I reckon Holyfield, Foreman, Holmes and Lewis all have arguments for being that second guy. Out of that lot, Foremand has the best resume and THAT come back, Holyfield achievements and Holmes with the better skillset.
Certainly should never argue if Lewis is better than Ali lol
