All of Eubanks Sr. posturing is under the guise of elevating his son but in fact its all about showboating himself. Narcissism at its best. Kind of disturbing to listen to him.
I wish his son would reck him by just turning around saying..
"DAD, you are ****in mental, please leave me alone, leave my career alone and let me get big money for good fights instead of milking me for the as little as possible because you're a bankrupt, senile has-been who never defended your belt against anyone of the elite caliber at the stage of your career"
something like that anyway..
As a father he is suppose to believe in his son...If he really believes in his son then he should quit just bragging on him so much. He should put his son in the ring with GGG or Ward or some other excellent high ranked fighter and show the world what his son can do, or not.
Damn, I am sick to death of Eubank saying who is son is going to wreck. He is going to wreck GGG and now Ward. The fact is his son has never defeated any boxer even close to being as good as either GGG or Ward. His son has lost to Saunders who isn't even half as good as Ward or GGG. Saying his son will wreck these great fighters is totally meaningless. His son actually signing the contract and fighting top fighters in the ring and beating them would mean something. His son isn't doing that.
Andre Ward actually has more punching power than Chris Eubank Junior! (And this is a very important factor at elite level, because sometimes you need a equalizing attribute! when you are fighting at a technical level, where your opponents ring IQ is very high)...
Chris Eubank expends immense amounts of energy, he throws 100 punches per rounds because he desperately needs too! Eubank's punching power thus-far within the 160 pound weight division, has been his one massive flaw! But his fights have looked devastating, because he has been fighting individuals who have not got the fundamentals of boxing installed into their DNA! He has been fighting individuals, who where ether just tough or game.
I don't know about you guys? But I am not impressed with a fighter, who throws 100 punches per round! and at the end of that round, some of his opponents are still standing! For me as a trainer, this would be ringing alarm bells inside my head! I would be awake at night, trying to devise a training strategy to improve this weakness! because this weakness will increase the likely hood of Eubank Junior finding himself in difficult fights! (That don't have to be difficult)...
Because at elite level, if you cannot deter opponents! and they can still land punches on you? even if you are the better fighter technically, life will be very hostile for you inside of that ring.
Hopefully at 168, Eubank Junior's punching power improves! and his energy expenditure becomes more economical as a result of this.
Note: Andre Wards punching power is nothing special ether, but at-least he can deter individuals with single shot!
I don't have a problem with anyone hyping their fighter, but I can't blame fans for calling bullshit when that's what they hear.
and i agree.....im from the show me state
Im cool with anyone hyping their fighter.JUST PROVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think about that next time you're bitching over a trainer or promoter hyping their fighter.

ward thinks hes the a-side though so how can this fight be made? eubank jr would beat him. ward's holding and hitting inside game plays perfectly into eubanks short punches and you also have to think that beating kovlev gave him changed him physically and mentally
And when he gives his explanation for why, he says it's because Ward only through 35 punches in round 3 vs Kovalev, whereas his son throws a lot more. That's literally his entire reasoning, just that one round.
Don't forget the DNA reason though :lol1:
