I watched the Duran fight last week. I'd put off watching it because of the bad reviews it got but, honestly, it's not bad at all. It's very good. Usher played the role of Ray to perfection, and De Niro was on form. The actor who played Duran was good too, he's a relatively unknown actor but I thought he showed the emotional range necessary to represent such a turbulent fighter as Duran. I think people were expecting Rocky.
I haven't watched the Vinnie movie, but I'll look for it and watch that too. Another fighter who gave it all in the ring. His fight against Honeyghan is one of my favourites.
dat rosenblatt KO tho

Yea...it's hard to know what to expect going by reviews. I just think it's cool that these stories are getting told. A lot of people watching don't even know who any of those guys are.
What about that duran movie...anyone see that?

I really enjoyed the film. and I would recommend it (especially since if you're posting here, I bet you like boxing movies). But someone other then me should tell you how true it is, I really knew little about him.
Is it worth the watch?
And how accurate is it to the real life Vinnie paz?Hopefully his close friend and former light heavyweight contender Ice John Scully will come on here and comment. Ice shows up time to time here.
