you don't seem to understand how this works. it's not simply time and discipline that has kept chavez from making wieghts higher than the 164-5 he's likely to miss. chavez is the size of a LHW or a cuiserweight. he used to gain 20 lbs at MW and walk intot he rhing as a cruiserweight. he took drugs to get down and has been busted for it in the past. why do people say chavez will be drianed? becaus there is no other way for him to get down to the weight. canelo and gbp, and chavez, all know this. this fiht is a shameless money grab. canelo and his people want easy money for this one, and look like they're eventually looking to get in there with golovkin. they know canelo doesn't have prospects for other big fights, that his style doesn't lend itself to fighting bigger guys. i think we're starting to see canelo being "cashed out." it will take a few years, but don't expect canelo to fight much longer after he's 30.
