In other sports, such as Baseball, Football (real football not soccer), & Basketball the salaries are based on the athletes, merits and talents on the field/court with other things such as look and personality making a small impact. Boxing on the other hand pays a lot by popularity, persona, & looks and a lot of times talent/skill is thrown out of the equation.
With that said, who do you think should be the highest paid boxer today based on talent and ring merits?
Real Football is soccer you clown. Football (real football (soccer)) existed long before your crappy fake rugby thingy you Americans call football.
lmao damn you are salty. I dont think I have every read a positive post from you. :fing26:

Outright Quality - Gonzalez, Ward, Kovalev
Achievements - Pacquiao, Ward, Gonzalez
Entertaining the Masses - Golovkin, Gonzalez, Canelo
I think it's probably Roman Gonzalez. Consistently in good fights. Has great wins. And is one of the best in the game. He is a midget though so that plays into things too.
Good analysis.
I wouldn't put Ward in achievements btw Pacquiao and Gonzalez since Dre barely won a title in a second weight class.
He hasn't achieved much more to me than Kovalev himself IMO (especially since I thought Kova beat him) but I might be harsh with Dre, dunno.
But, Ward is definitely overrated by you guys, never has been P4P 1 in my eyes and isn't yet.
I would say Pacquiao, Alvarez and Swift Garcia.
You could bring Hopkins and Wlad but dudes are over the hill (we'll see for Wlad)
Based on their star power, activity and achievements.
Andre Ward,Crawford,Loma,Chocalito .all push and challenge themselves
Ward would need to fight more than once a year, and his only decent win in 5 years is seen by most people as a gift decision so forget about that.
For me it's any fighter who is willing to put themselves and their reps on the line to test themselves against the best. Boxing would die without that spectacle. If you're not nervous for the dudes when watching a fight then something isn't right. And it's even better if they are able to deliver sweet science in the process.
Recently.. Andre Ward, Kell Brook, Roman Gonzalez, Anthony Crolla, Carl Frampton
I think he was in the Women's Auxiliary Balloon Corp. I remember seeing the crest on his trunks.

The toughest of the tough :lol1:
Nearly choked on my toast lolol
He wooped Danny's ass so he deserves it :lol1:
Merit? Are you fucking kidding me?
Boxers aren't 'paid.' They earn their paychecks by putting asses in seats. Their earnings are merit based.
erislandy lara: 1 million dollars :bad::bad::bad:
I think the payday someone gets should reflect the matchup not just a case of being a marquee name .
Ive always believed the success of a promotion is ALL about the match up not the one fighter.
I think he was in the Army National Guard or something. I do remember him mentioning he was in the military

Until he stops knocking everybody out with ease GGG desrves the most based on merit. He defends his title more often than any other champion. He has 16 successful title defenses all won by KO. He has KOed 24 opponents in a row and counting. He gets my vote and TS if the professional GGG haters on here don't like it. He has never come close to losing a fight and rarely even losses more than 1 round in any fight. He has never been knocked down or in trouble in any fight. He has one of the best amateur records in history and you can't pick your opponents in the amateurs.Haters can hate him all they want but he is a real winner and the best KO artist in the sport. KO wins are better than points wins in boxing just as home runs are better than singles, doubles or triples in baseball.
