Interesting to watch now. AJ had only been boxing 4-5 years at this point.
Knockout comes in Round 3 after the southpaw opponent catches him with a number of big overhand lefts. His head snaps back badly after the first one.
I sometimes wonder looking at Fury what sort of a shelf-life his style has. That hands down, reflex based defence typically does not age well. The face that's a giant helps because it so hard for opponents to even establish a scoring distance against him if he won't give it up. But all this time outside the ring can't be good for a guy like him. He's bound to find his reflexes dulled when he comes back.
I think the Klitschko fight was a perfect fight stylistically for him. There dont seem to be any bob and weavers around anymore which is a shame as there is still room for that style imo. Cunningham floored him hard with a shot that started low and ended high, it comes out of nowhere for guys that tall. Nistor could have the same effect.
Fury's personality more than anything makes me think he will not be a consistent champ. Which is kind of being proved already. On form i think he beats all the top guys at the moment though. Like you say his reach and size, with his style and cautiousness will be a nightmare.
I remember people using the fact he got stopped by Nistor as proof that he was gonna have a bad chin lol.
Nistor is a banger, and Joshua literally takes nothing off those shots. I was pretty impressed he wasnt fully dropped tbh.
Shame Nistor hasnt turned over at some point. I think he would have made an interesting contrast to all these tall ****ers on the HW scene at the moment. Be interesting to see how a Tyson Fury type deals with a power shot coming from his knee height all the way up to his chin.

He'd been boxing 2 years at that point - Had his first bout in 2009 I believe.
