Jack has 20k followers on twitter. Nobody knew who he was a couple years ago. He's just now starting to establish himself. I don't see a fight he's had that would justify a 7 figure purse.
But he was very impressive on Saturday and I'm sure a 7 figure payday is coming if he can start getting some wins instead of every fight ending in a draw. ;)
Jack has been a known commodity for 2 years in this sport. When featherweights can make half a mill elsewhere in a similar period of time, you have to start questioning TMTs purchasing power. The argument that they're anew company isnt a good one either because they have av eyr big name backing them and constantly work with Haymon.
Anyway, I don't think fighters should be getting even half a mill tbh so like I said, the purses imo are justified however, from a broader, boxing economics point of view its odd.
Fair enough, I just find it interesting that floyd is basically using standard promoters protocol and math to pay his fighters. I thought he had some different formula that would pay the fighters more money since he has been ****ting on Arum and Goldenboy.
I think his plan is to pay guys more money. I don't think that means just giving them $1 mil because most fighters do not make that much. I think that means that they will get a larger percentage of the overall money.
He has only promoted a few events. I think its fair to give him time to see what he does. If you see fighters opting to sign with TMT instead of resiging with their initial promoter then its safe to say Floyd is giving fighters bigger paydays.
How many cards has TMT promoted?
I think Floyd plans to match his guys in tough. When you do this, you got to pay both guys. IMO you will see a lot of fights like DeGale/jack where both guys get $700-750k, as opposed to say GGG/Monroe where one guy gets $100k and the rest goes to the "star".
Once the site fees go up and a guy grows his profile, you will see fights where a Davis gets 7 figures and the opponent gets $100k.

ive watched floyd state that his promotional company will be giving most of the event proceeds to fighters unlike other promoters. this got me curious if he has at least one fighter who's earned over 1mil?
It was also interesting that Mikey Garcia and other Established Stars under Haymon's management has not fought for TMT promotions?
I think Garcia might have as undercard to floyds fight.

where did you explained it?
Floyd's opponents got low paydays because Floyd got huge paydays in excess of $30 mil. That will not be the case for fights he promotes.
SHO paid Floyd and his opponents. Floyd's opponents got $1-4 mil because Floyd made $30 mil plus.
Floyd, as a promoter, just paid the guys well. This suggests he will do so in the future.
Knowing the above, you already labeled him Arum 2.0. There is no more to discuss.
here we go again, you like manny, etc etc etc....
just answer the question.
did i say what floyd did was wrong? all im asking is what makes you think floyd will pay his fighters good when he didnt pay his opponents good. so as a promoter, floyd is not gonna want the best for him? like i said bob arum 2.0 version is coming.
I answered this and then explained why when I responded to you. You ignored the response because you have already decided Floyd is going to be Arum 2.0. Why would you ask me to answer it again.
Go jerk off to a Manny pic dude.
so you're saying as a promoter, floyd's not gonna want the best for him?
Floyd just put on a great card and paid the guys well.
we get it, you like Manny so anything Floyd does you will find something wrong with it.
what makes you think floyd will pay his fighters good? his opponents only got an average of $1-4mil fighting floyd. floyd is the next bob arum.

I'm not talking about up and comers, I'm talking about a more established name, someone like jack. In terms of Davis, is his performances carry on like this, he will become very marketable indeed and probably too big for tmt. Maybe one of the bigger promoters handles him Haydon who I believe has a working relationship with tmt will.up his pay.
That kid has star potential. Don't waste it Lil boy floy
TOo big for tmt? Lol what. You know May promotions promoted the biggest fight of all time right?
there are several world champions at the higher weights making millions, but the vast vast majority aren't making 7 figures to fight. with TMT focused on young up and coming fighters, i don't see why anybody would be expecting million dollar paydays.
Agree with this. TMT at this point is a new company that is trying to establish itself and its boxers. When they reach the point that the network gives huge fees to pay fighters 7 figures I am sure Floyd will do so.

They have to work to that like he did but neither is worth 1 Million right now. 700K for Jack this past weekend is a great payday though so he is close to it! He probably will get 1 Million or close to it vs Stevenson
they gave lara a million dollars to fight rodriguez in front of 50 people. that was very charitable.
and they wonder why pbc is losing money, just shows floyd knows his business.
I doubt it, J. Love was almost crapping his pants, when Eddie hearn offered him 50k verbally on Sunday. He started talking like he has never seen that sort of money before. Maybe Badou Jack.
You do realize this is a business not a charity...

were you under the impression that a lot of fighters make a million dollars for one fight?
Many championship level fighters make a million these days. It's not unusual at all. What makes you think it's unusual?
Btw, it's not really a negative. I don't think every guy with an alphabet title should be getting big sums of money but its weird coming from Mayweather.
