Virgil Hunter and Rozier for coaching.
Algeri for nutrition and conditioning.
Avtandil Khurtsidze, Sergiy Derevyanchenko, and Ievgen Khytrov as his main sparring partners.
Danny will be at his best ever. Who does GGG have for his camp???
The only constant in this universe is change, and people need to understand that Danny Jacobs has to change! I have stated this before, the man needs to learn how to move! and his strength and conditioning coach needs to be strengthening his core big time! otherwise he will be taken into deep waters and drowned.....
The question is, whether or not this training camp! is enough time for him to work on his weaknesses.
Time will tell....

If he could borrow James hardens beard for padding he would have all the bases covered

That's interesting stuff and all, but with regards to your last question, how much do you really think it matters? Training camps are training camps, who a team brings in to train with a football team during training camp isn't going to determine whether that team makes the super bowl...
Can't wait for the stories to come out after the fight how he got dropped and hurt in sparring by one of these guys lol...
it's possible, tbh I don't even think he could beat all three in 12 round fights
You can't go by what happened in the past.
Sports does not work like that sir....no sport.
Especially boxing.
Remember Doug DeWitt???
He took EVEYTHING Hearns had....then got KTFO by a guy that couldn't knock over a box of girl scout cookies.:lol1:
If you think GGG walks through Jacobs there must be another Golovking out there......and your watching the wrong one.
Of course you can go by what a guy does in the past. How do you think odds makers come up with the line on a fight? Sure the favorites lose sometime (but not that often) because in sports, anything can happen.
That being said, Golovkin will be the favorite and the smart money will be on him.
I agree with you, I don't think Jacobs plans to change everything for the GGG fight. The most important thing he can do is develop a few attack plans and work to hone them...sticking to the game plan is a must.
Regarding Hunter, that's not a fair assessment of him. The fighters you named were on the downside of their careers when they got to Hunter. He's not a miracle worker but under his tutelage Berto and Khan got their biggest fights and extended their careers. Hell if Khan wasn't such a mental case in the ring he might have made it to the a decision against Canelo.
I can agree that Angulo and Berto were on the downside of their careers, but Khan still had mileage. I really didn't like how he tried to convert Angulo into more of a boxer style. To me that actually hurt him. Those guys got their biggest fights with Virg due to Haymon, not coaching. Khan looked shaky vs Diaz, but good vs Alexander, then shaky again vs Algeri.
Virgil's also currently training Peter Quillin, so I imagine he could be in Jacob's camp, also Fonfara is there as well. Demetrius Andrade worked with Hunter for a short while, but left for who knows what reason. I watched Brandon Gonzalez under Hunter, but that kid might never have had the pedigree to perform at the top.
I could possibly see him maybe tightening up some things for Danny, but mostly giving him renewed focus being a new voice in camp. But overall I see Virgil being overrated.

Says every fighter before they get KTFO. Sells the ight well so I can't compain
all 3 of his sparring partners hit hard af

At least he'll have a wide range of excuses to use just in case he losses.
"Shouldn't have changed my diet."
"Me and Virgil just didn't click"
"The atmosphere just wasn't right for me"
"I had a bad flight back to New York"
"My training sparring partners were too rough"

HAha, good point! :boxing:
If he was taking his Golovkin shot most seriously, he wouldn't have sat out 9 months only to rematch Mora, and now sitting out another 6 months.
Dereveyanchenko, Khytrov, and Khurtsidze are his normal sparring partners. In fact it sounds like he'll no longer be sparring with those guys, as his training camp is now in Oakland where those guys had been training in Florida.
Hunter's not a miracle worker. He did nothing for Khan, Berto, or Angulo. His only successful fighter has been Andre Ward. Chis Algeri's reputation as a top nutritionist is not on par with Mackie Shilstone, Victor Conte, Memo Heridia, or Ariza.
To me, this looks like all smoke and mirrors.

Very surprised that everyone is underestimating Jacobs. I'm very happy and excited he's taking this fight so seriously. This is how I want fighters to approach their world title shots, putting maximum effort into it, not say 'well it's just another fight'.
Yes, this may screw with Danny's head, but it can also do wonders for his preparation. We know Ward has thought about fighting Golovkin so he may give him some tips and prepare him well.

When Pirog fought Jacobs , he showed no respect for Danny's power. Meanwhile Pirog hurt Jacobs a few times before he walked him down and knocked him out.
Granted that was in 2010, but it still makes me think Jacobs power is overrated and if Golovkin is able to walk through it, Jacobs, no matter what kind of camp he has, will be in a whole lot of trouble.
His sparring partners are excellent but Virgil isn't going to help. Virgil molded Andre ward because he had him since Andre was a little kid. Jacobs has to be who is as a fighter. He can't try to be the type of fighter that Virgil wants...that's an impossible transformation to make in a couple months.
Very interesting! I didn't know all of that was going on. Maybe Jacobs will be able to raise his game a little for this fight. The question still is, if they're both at their very best, who do you think wins?
I'll still go with my man GGG, but I like Jacobs and I want him to perform well in this fight.
