Please post your prediction here for James DeGale vs Badou Jack.
EDIT: Anyone who makes a post with just the word 'UPDATE' in this thread will be added to a list of users that gets PM'd morning of the fight as a reminder to make a prediction.
Expected format:
NICKNAME,WINNER,RESULT TYPE,RESULT DETAIL,MULTIPLIER
Examples:
If you wanted to pick DeGale by KO in the 1st round with no multiplier
BrometheusBob.,DeGale,KO,1,1X
If you wanted to pick Jack by a decision wider than 117-111 on all scorecards, using one of your 2x multipliers
BrometheusBob.,Jack,DEC,DOMINANT,2X
Please stick to the format! The more you adhere to it, the more of the picks that will be processed automatically. Otherwise I have to manually save your entries and that will make me a very sad panda.

I get the rules as you wrote them and it's perfectly workable as long as everyone knows what they are, but it does seem a lil absurd to award points for a close pick the wrong way but not for a Draw. I'd maybe think about scrapping the points reward for a close pick for the wrong fighter. Other than that though I think things are going OK and I like the idea of setting up the picks as a poll - at the very least it should make things a lot easier for you when it comes to sorting out who picked what. Keep it up, man.

lol anyway the point of the exception is to ease the pain of a close call when the other side gets full credit. No need for points when it's a draw cause we get to be all wrong together.
But that being said I think I'm going to thumb through the master thread and review what other people have said on this, I think there is a reasonable amount of desire to have no close call exception. And if so, I'll remove it.
I'll give the poll some more thought. But you'll be glad to know it wasn't very much of a pain to collect everyone's picks on my end, really the tricky part ended up being how to format a table in a way that the forum displays reasonably. Now that I've got the format down it will be painless for me to produce that table in the future.
Well if I follow my rules strictly, we all stay at 0 points. I had a close loss exception if the other fighter wins a close decision when you picked a close decision, but I written separately that a draw was 0 for everyone.
The Hound, McLovin and Aldo5408 do still lose the multipliers they used

The bottom line is that both fighters went down.
Both fighters got up off the canvas!
Both fighters were standing at the end of the match!
One fighter said lets do it again!
The other fighter acted like a ***** and so did his promoter!
So go up in weight and fight Andre Ward or Sergey Alexandrovich Kovalev!
Here's a thought, what if the submission for future fights was a poll.
If we change the options to:
KO 1-6
KO 7-12
Close Decision
Wide Decision
Dominant Decision
For each fighter, we'd have 10 poll options.
This makes the submission a piece of cake for both sides. If we still want to do multipliers, players can post in the thread if they wish to use one of theirs.
Yeah. I prefer it that way.

Yeah thats what I thought and it makes sense.

So, do we all lose? Lol. :lol1:
We lose the pick points but not the result type if you picked dec and margin. I picked jack dec close, so I think I would get 5 points.
