The real reason Manny wants $20 million to fight crawford

He admitted (before changing his story later) when he returned to fight Vargas that he was coming back because his current job as a Senator doesn't support his lifestyle the same way boxing did. So I can see why he wants as huge of a paycheck as possible.

Pacman is past it and he is probably aware of that. He wants to get cashed out for a fight like that where he'd likely lose.

He wants 20 million to fight Crawford, and Canelo wants to wait until GGG is in a retirement home to fight him, what's the difference? But Crawford would severely outclass Manny, IMO, is it even disputable at this point? Canelo and his camp are more than ready to fight Golovkin in September if Golovkin is ready to take his $15m purse and show up. lol

Some believe Manny is ducking the fight, which seems to be the case if you consider what Manny is truly worth at this stage of his career. The truth is manny got stiffed on the Vargas fight. He got a meager purse of 4 or 5 million dollars, and a percentage of the awful PPV revenue. Affter expenses? Paying top rank, paying his staff, paying Freddie? Manny is luck if he walked away with a million bucks. He wants $20 million because he realizes that Bob hoodwinked him last time, and he wants to make sure he makes a nice payday if he is going to take a risk like that. I am not even a Manny fan, and I totally understand his position. If Pacquiao is going to need $20m to fight again, he's never going to fight again, full stop. There's not $20m out there on a Pacquiao fight any longer (and the Broner or Garcia/Thurman winner are the only big fights really possible, and neither guy is going to take that fight on short money). Have fun in priced-out retirement.

So Oscar, Floyd, Cotto or Bobs biggest draws outside of Pac leaving over money weren't a hint enough????... Mikey and Chavez Jr leaving still weren't enough. Pacqiuao is living above his means. He has a large entourage and just imagine how much he spends for these people for a minimum of one week stay in the US; their plane tickets, accommodation, food, etc. Not to mention buying tickets for his fights and give them away to everyone he meets. He is old and well past prime but he still has the famous name. He is trying to make the most money on his way out. He can still fight and he put both Vargas and Bradley on their asses. I think he has a chance to beat Crawford. I thought Gamboa hurt Crawford and Pacquiao is bigger, tougher and punches much harder than Gamboa.

I don't think it is, Crawford would be favored in the fight.
