Wlad is my favourite fighter (behind vitali but he's retired now). Wlad is definitely shot, he struggled with Jennings. Bryant was able to make ground in that fight without wlad being able to time him coming in. W.K struggled to pull the trigger in April '15, looked old against fury and will have a yr and half layoff. So for that reason Aj should be favourite. Although I think even from '15 could beat Aj no chance wlad of '17 will.
But then again Aj is a bum and it may just be a rollover for W.K
Joshua is the favorite, though I'm pulling for Klitschko. Anthony is a bit green, having never faced good competition, but Wlad looked increasingly hesitant in recent fights, being all but froze up against a guy with little power. Psychological issues on top of a huge layoff should put him as a definite underdog. Would love to see him pull through because I like seeing people overcome personal issues. He's still got all the physical traits necessary to win this, along with an incredible wealth of experience.
For you guys suggesting that Wlad should be the favorite, by that I take it you think he is more likely to win? So since the bookies have made Wlad almost a 2 to 1 underdog, meaning that you would win nearly twice what you are betting (plus get your stake back) I would think it make sense that you are all putting money on Wlad, right?
AJ 8/15 or -188
Wlad 2/1 or 200
Which isn't a very wide favorite.
That's about as wide as Canelo was over Cotto and Thurman was over Porter (in fact, less wide than both of these). Despite the odds at the books those fights were considered 50/50ish by the general public.
I'm favoring AJ by a bit but it's not an easy fight by any means. If Klitschko shows up as good as he did a few years ago he'll most likely walk away with it. The reason I'm picking AJ is because WK didn't look too hot against Jennings or Fury and the layoff isn't helpful, especially at his age.
if it does go late I expect AJ to gas out and lose on points.
If it was in Germany, or on neutral territory - most likely yes. But the fight will be in the UK, and AJ is the rising star. No way he loses a decision there (unless he gets floored every second round).
AJ's chin is still a question mark.. he has that chinny look in his eyes..if hit just right he will crumble, i get that vibe from him.. but still pick him to win this because Wlad will be too damn scared to let off any bombs, he'll be pawing with the jab and hugging, AJ will drop him early. .if it does go late I expect AJ to gas out and lose on points.
