Right now, his resume is horrible. Like, absolutely horrible, so bad that his fans should feel ashamed of even trying to cook up excuses for it. His 3 best wins are Brook, Murray and Lemieux. It's pathetic. Now, I do like Golovkin, though, so I think it would be fair to list the guys I want him to fight. If he beats any of these, they will become his signature win and his first good win:
- Saunders
- Jacobs
- Canelo
- Lara
- Sulecki
- Eubank
- DeGale
- Jack
- Ramirez
- Ward
These are 10 opponents who all would be his signature win if he defeated them. Some are from the weight below him, some are from his own weight, some are from the weight above him... Nevertheless, those are the absolutely best options for him and he should be able to make at least 3-5 of them fight him.
Jacobs, BJS and Canelo. Canelo is the one for me.
Then, if he wants to, why not have a crack at 168.
I'd want to see him face those 3 guys first however.
He's about to ice jacobs this march then he will ice Canelo in December 2017. He's beaten everyone in front of hiim outstandingly. Murray, lemeuix, brook are still good wins. Your bias radiates with fear young fool.
Then he'll move up and take degales sole, maybe fight eubank and murder the bastard.
Your motives are clear, you are not very smart. DO you make try and act retarded on purpose?
He is fighting Jacobs next, time for people to fuk off about the Resume talk now it is #1 vs #2 at Middleweight what more can people ask from him and NO I don't want GGG to move up until he gets Jacobs and after Jacobs if he wins then Canelo! It is no bigger fight than the Canelo fight so moving up is STUPID! Jack, DeGale, Ramirez are very nice fights but neither come close to a fight with Canelo. Winner of GGG vs Jacobs fight winner of Canelo vs Chavez Jr :dunno: DeGale, Jacob, Ramirez at 168 are all still young so he can move up later after cleaning up 160!
You fanboys & haters are soooooo dumb its painful to see. Anyone who thinks GGG's resume is "absolutely horrible" isn't following the sport very closely cuz GGG has one of if not the best resume it could be argued at 160. And if you disagree with me list 5 to 10 guys who fight at 160 currently & have better resumes (guys beaten, not just fought) than GGG.
Saunder's 2 best wins, Eubank and Lee, are better than any Golovkin win.
Jacob's best win, Quillin, is better than any Golovkin win.
Sulecki's best win, Centeno, is better than any Golovkin win.
And Canelo, while he is a coward, also got better wins than Golovkin.
The thing is, everyone and their grandmas got better wins than Golovkin.
Why is no-one talking about Tureano Johnson?? He's IBF mandatory, and has a fight next month. One more tune-up for Johnson and I can see GGG v Johnson in June
After the Daniel Jacobs fight there are two reasons for Gennady Golovkin to stay at Middleweight:
take on Billy Joe Saunders to unify all of the belts
fight the winner of Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. vs. Saul Alvarez
If neither of the above are possible, these options are just as attractive:
taking on the winner of James DeGale vs. Badou Jack at Super Middleweight
taking on Gilberto Ramirez at Super Middleweight
And if he really wanted to cement his legacy:
fight Sergey Kovalev or Andre Ward at Light Heavyweight
In reality he'll probably fight Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam or Ishe Smith.
So you're saying Eubank Jr. is not better than any guy on Golovkin's resume? You serious?
What are his successes? I think that many people exaggerate Eubank Jr. he's just BUM beater...
So you're saying Eubank Jr. is not better than any guy on Golovkin's resume? You serious?
Based upon what? You gotta be talking about the eye test, cos that's all Chris has going for him right now. I think Jr is a serious contender at the weight, but he's less proven than Macklin, Murray, Geale or hell, even Lemieux.
H2H I might fancy him against any of them, but there ain't much to back that up with.

Eubank Jr.? are you serious?
getting that Jacobs fight over the line seems like it has been like pulling teeth. And that is not even a particularly interesting fight, IMO.
I don't have much faith in Golovkin's handlers tbh. They will probably move heaven and earth to get Saunders after Jacobs. Another fairly mediocre fight.
The only guy I am interested in him fight at 160 is Eubank Jr. And that really is based on a completely unsubstantiated believe that Eubank Jr is going to be the goods.
There are stone cold elite superstars that GGG could face fairly easily.
The only top level fights now are Canelo or guys at 168.
MW is terrible.
They didn't accept the $15million to fight Canelo, they have shown no real interest in fighting anywhere but 160 so other than Jacobs...there's nobody good.
Jacobs in March, N'Dam in Kazakhstan in early summer, Canelo in September
Or, if Canelo ducks again, the winner of DeGale vs. Jack instead
Edit: Just remembered that Callum Smith probably has first dibs on DeGale/Jack, so I guess Lara and Jermall would be my next priorities. Zurdo would need another good win before he was worth moving up for, imo

Dont fight welterweights
Dont fight people on house arrest
Don't fight Canadian's
And definitely don't fight former cancer victims
I don't know what the f is up with golovkin and his fans
