After Govlokin runs through Jacobs what will the new excuses be?

I agree with the fact that a number 1 can be levels above a number 2. But who is GGG suppose to fight? Not sure why you quoted me to ask me this, I didn't discuss who he should/shouldn't fight anywhere in my post, nor is that something I was interested in discussing here lol. Basically this fight is a measuring stick on how good GGG really is. This is a huge step up fight for him and to see if the hype is real. If this fight is competitive then he got expose. If he dominated then it's most likey he is the real deal and he need to hurry up and knock out Canelo to end his hype and then move up. Jacab is not great but he is a very good test for GGG. We all know Canelo is very beatable judging his fight with Floyd, Lara.

When Floyd was #1 p4p most fighters who occupied #2 were not considered to be in Floyd's league, likewise a win over Jacobs is good on paper, but Jacobs being "#2 in the division" doesn't automatically mean the fight will be closer than if he wasn't. It doesn't necessarily mean he is a better fighter than if he was ranked lower, and even if it did, styles makes fights, and styles trumps raw rankings. I hope Jacobs makes it challenging, but I consider Golovkin to be levels above Jacobs and would be shocked if he lost.

Pre ggg fight- Jacobs will ko golovkin and he's the 2nd best mw. After ggg kos him- Jacobs was average and was already koed before. I can see it coming already. Jacobs after ggg fight would be viewed no better than rubio. That's bull*****. This is the most legit middleweight title defense that Golovkin has signed up for so far. Jacobs is a real threat, regardless of being KO'd before. Most guys would have been KO'd from that punch Pirog ran him into. Golovkin gets full props if he is able to beat Jacobs.
