They got oscar to promise the GGG-Canelo fight for September 2017 so they did their job.
Oscar with the low key "if they sign the contract" as a way to back out of it
If Oscar doesn't want the fight to happen then it won't happen and there is nothing the media or the fans can do about it. 10 million dollars isn't much of an offer to GGG when you consider Canelo would probably make 4 times that much. Pacquiao rightfully turned down a flat fee of 30 million to fight Mayweather and ended up making many times that much for fighting Mayweather.
From a business sense, Alvarez is easily four times the star Golovkin is, so what's your point?
Alvarez-Smith did a verifiable $5.5m at the gate in Texas; the biggest gate that Golovkin has ever drawn was for Golovkin-Lemieux, and even that was only said of by Tom Loeffler of being "about $2m" (a figure that's likely significantly lower if the NYSAC ever actually releases an official gate number).
Why you've deluded yourself into seemingly thinking that Golovkin should be entitled to 40% of the pot is foolish.
the media needs to start putting more pressure on oscar and canelita.
... or they should note that Golovkin has an offer to fight for $10m, after not making even $4m for any other fight he's ever had in life.
The pressure doesn't work when it's beyond obvious that a deal is already on the table.

Golovkin has been and is going to be offer $10m (plus some upside on the PPV that would likely only be triggered if the event is a blockbuster, ie north of 750k PPV buys), the world will know and understand that Golovkin has an offer for $10m, and it'll be on Golovkin and Co to answer the hard questions.
I doubt that Kellerman ever comes close to putting the screws to Golovkin though (HBO likely not looking kindly on such a thing).
Steven A Smith is a joke. He's nothing but a loudmouth "dindu nuffin" in a suit. How he's employed and not leading a BLM rally is beyond me.
Why didn't he ever pressure Mayweather like then when asking about Pacquioa back in the day? Because he was too busy sucking Floyd's balls.
He did, to an extent. He kept encouraging Floyd to fight him and even said after the Canelo fight that he isn't ordering another Mayweather fight on PPV until he fights Manny, and encouraged others to do the same.
The Big Dunn has not seen that fight and can't comment on Steven A. except to say that I like him on TV talking about sports but he just DKSAB!

I actually kind of enjoyed his commentary during the Pac-Vargas card. He's entertaining at least

You know its bad when Steven A. makes sense about boxing.

Of course Max has to go look like a groupie f@g by saying ODH never did catchweights.
I guess max forgot about Oscar-Hops
