are these guys ever going to force this fight or what? honestly one of the worst organizations in boxing, Don't even follow their own rules,
Anyone know anything about this or what?
I thought Wlad's HBO deal was completed?
I really do want to see what happens if Dibella wins the bid. Makes it interesting. However I think K2 will come with a huge bid just to be sure.
Nope, HBO granted permission, but in return they get the rematch. I think he signed a 3 fight deal starting with Jennings.
Interesting update from Espinoza - if Haymon wins the purse bid, Golovkin/Jacobs will be shown on regular Showtime and not ppv.
Not sure if that means Showtime is only willing to pay a set amount and Haymon will have to subsidize the rest, or if they're willing to put up big bucks.
I really want the fight more than any other fight for Golovkin right now, but I'm terrible pesimestic about it happening.

If the bout between Gennady Golovkin and Danny Jacobs goes to purse bid on Monday and Al Haymon wins the auction and decides to put the fight on Showtime, that network’s boxing chief Stephen Espinoza said he would try to put the fight on Showtime instead of Showtime PPV.
“Ultimately, the decision of whether a fight goes to pay-per-view is really the promoters,” Espinoza told ******.com on Wednesday. “But from our perspective, we would do everything we could, if we were offered the Golovkin-Jacobs fight, we would target that for Showtime. Not that it’s not a really big, exciting fight. But in our eyes, it hasn’t quite matured to the commercial level of a pay-per-view. It’s a really good Showtime fight and we’d try to keep it there for Showtime subscribers to enjoy.”
Golovkin, who holds the WBA/WBC/IBF middleweight titles, is contractually bound to HBO; he’s also entitled to a 75-25 split of the winning bid on Monday. There are several schools of thought on whether Golovkin would ever fight on rival Showtime. On the one hand, the winner of the purse bid gets to assign the television rights. While Golovkin is one of HBO’s main staples, he’s not a heavyweight or a fighter of Canelo Alvarez’s popularity — yet.
So perhaps letting Golovkin collect a career-high payday to fight on Showtime for one fight wouldn’t be the end of the world for HBO brass. “It’s conceivable he fights on Showtime in 2017 if Haymon wins the purse bid,” said one well-embedded mole. On the other hand, the likelihood of HBO not enforcing its contractual obligations to Golovkin if Haymon wins the purse bid seem remote if it ever gets to that point. Espinoza is hoping Golovkin has a clause in his HBO contract that would somehow allow him to cross the street to Showtime in the event of a purse bid.
“In my experiences, some of these contracts include an out which allows a fighter to fight on another network if it becomes necessary because of a purse bid,” Espinoza said in a phone interview on Wednesday. “Other contracts do not have that provision. I’m not privy to the contract, so I don’t know exactly what it is but we’d like to pursue it and we’ve thrown our hat in the ring and made it known that we’re definitely interested. But I imagine the HBO deal would be an obstacle.”

I doubt it. If K2 really had huge money, the negotiations would've been done with a while ago.

Dibella and Loeffler (among others, in all likelihood) will head to Panama, the bids will be placed, and K2 will likely have a decision to make.
think he has one more fight, he signed a 3 fight deal starting when he fought Bryant Jennings.
Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure but I was surprised to see SHO air the part where he came to the ring.
The apocalypse is more likely. HBO approved Klitschko to fight Joshua on Showtime (with potential rematch on HBO). They won't tarnish Golovkin's image making him vacate to Jacobs.

If Jacobs chickens out and gives up his belt rather than fight can the WE HATE lil g CLUB on this forum for once not blame GGG for the fight not happening. GGG was ready to fight Jacobs in December but team Jacobs said they needed more time. It's starting to look like Jacobs doesn't want to fight GGG at any time.
WOuldn't they also step in if GGG vacates?

Jesus christ....so basically we're gonna get GGG v N'Dam?
Never seen blanco, is he legit or ?
Blanco struggled in his last fight (over a year ago) vs Sergey Khomitsky. He sucks balls.
Purse bid in Panama next Monday (19th). Meantime N'Dam/Blanco is Saturday for the WBA interim belt, so the winner steps in for Jacobs if he vacates.
