I feel he has been handed the title by HBO :blackeye:
For the longest time this guy was fighting in motel parking lots now he's scrubbing it up begging to always be on GGG's undercards.
Still living off the "Epic" 108 pound Estrada victory huh?? LOL
Can't stand his old fart personality either, some guy asked him for food on HBO and he said "sorry I don't have the money"
I can understand him being Top 10 but UNDISPUTED #1??? It always makes me cringe :pat::pat::pat:

Becoming lineal @ 112 was kinda special....moving up in weight to win a title in his forth division vs. arguably the #1 guy in the division without a tuneup was OK I guess.. oh I forgot he did that right after taking 3 top ten defenses @ 112...yeah also its pretty neat to be second in putting on more weight at the elite level after Andre Ward ( granted Ward was no champion at 160 but we let that slide cause S.O.G is tha sh*t ). Wow! hey look I just went over to boxrec and it appears RG has been a champion since 2008?! thats cool ha? considering these guys at the elite have just popped in the seen around 2012-2013 -- bunch of unproven hype-jobs claiming to be king. Look at all these guys hes beaten a lot of them went to become unified #P4P fighters...even Takayama who he beat in 2008 in his prime is still champion, boy that dude has been top 10 at his weight since 2005? 16 title fights/defenses? how many RG got?! hahahahaha!
yes he deserves it.I'm glad HBO is giving him some exposure the lower weight classes need it.there's some damn good fighters there and great fights to be made! gonzalez, inoue estrada cuadras ancajas rungvisai arroyo and that's only super flyweight.
for a while he was no2, a four div champ and fought some of the best guys in his weight class. the no1 spot is argued and you can make a case, hes no2 on my list. but as far as k2 and hbo both have not done a good enough job increasing his exposure. the cuadras fight got little to no promotion but ended up doing more viewers than ggg vs brook, lomachenko vs everyone hes fought and some other guys cards. hes legit in my book but hbo didnt really hand him much. if anything they used him as place holder to try to anoint to lomachenko the p4p no1 spot.
