The joke doesn't make sense for Ward, who hasn't made a Canelo/Khan type fight. The joke does make sense for GGG, who was an outspoken critic of Canelo/Khan before booking his fight with Brook. Both are 168 fighters..same division Ward was moving up from.... Would you consider them both cherry picks, considering that the sanctioning body REFUSED to sanction the bout, even they knew it was a cherry pick beyond comprehension

You clearly don't like Canelo. I don't know what you have against him that you would say he is trying to get a fight with a featherweight champion. He just won a title at 154 and looked great doing it. He is a hell of a fighter and has long been a favorite of mine. He has wins over a prime Trout and a prime Lara and a still very good Cotto. He sure doesn't need or desire to fight soft touches. Canelo has committed one of the biggest ducks in boxing history, thats enough reason.

Even a Canelo hate thread ends up turning into a GGG hate thread. It hard work for me to be a loyal fan of both Canelo and GGG. It's always an uphill battle on this board. Still they remain my favorites along with Spence and Kovalev. To the best of my knowledge GGG is trying to fight Jacobs, not Pacquiao. None of my favorite fighters have ever done anything to make me think less of them.
