Lol Molina entertained the hell out of me. He literally looked like a crazy maniac ON DRUGS AND POSESSED by the devil himself. Weirdest, goofiest style in the sport, and went out like a true warrior. Respect to Molina.
I know..i'm just disputing the comment that he has a small frame for 147 ..when he doesn't. He seems like a natural welterweight to me.
But it's understandable if he wants to take his time to move up and let his body adjust..while also stepping up the competition.
I dunno, he looks average size at best at 140, will look small at 147, and there is no guarantee his power will carry.
Look at broner once he started moving up, barely has enough power to keep guys off of him.
Crawford is obviously better than broner, but he could see that same problem. Unless someone wants to pay him to move up, 140 is his world, there is nothing wrong with dominating your division.
PAC and Floyd spoiled us with their weight jumps.
Pretty much everyone at that level cuts 15+ lbs to make weight. Some of these guys who are clearly big at their weight are cutting 20+.

His fight night weight is 150+ lb... and I'm pretty sure he cuts weight to make 140.
He belongs at 147 eventually. But it's cool and understandable if he wants to unify 140 first before moving up.

Unifying with undefeated Postol and two stoppages of Molina/Lundy >>>>>Decision wins over Bradley and Vargas
Who are Molina and Lundy again?
Two guys who have never been champion. Two guys that have never done anything in their careers.
I'm not a Pacquiao fan but that was not a bad year for him. I don't think Pac will win it but he has a better case than Crawford.
For me Loma or Frampton take it. That's why I specifically compared Martinez to Quigg.
He should just move up to 147 and retire Broner. Even if he moves back down after that, he'd be doing the sport a huge favor in sending Bonehead out to the pasture.
He has a small frame, I don't think that's a good move for him at all.

Was HBO really trying to push Crawford for fighter of the year?
How?
There's only three contenders for that award: Lomachenko, Frampton, and Pacquiao.
Lomachenko and Pac were the most dominant. Loma didn't lose a round and stopped both of his opponents.
People can say Martinez is bum but he's fought better fighters than Quigg. And he's actually been competitive in some of those fights.

The only thing I saw tonight with Crawford that makes me worried when he faces a big puncher is, when he got caught with the right hand, he froze. He needs to tighten that up or someone that can punch and finish snatches that zero from him.
