DAVID HAYE reckons he would flatten Anthony Joshua within three rounds if they fought now. The former heavyweight champion is eyeing up a summer showdown with the current IBF title holder. Joshua, 27, defends his belt against American Eric Molina on Saturday at Manchester Arena. Click Here To Read More]
When David Haye gets a W over one of the actual top guys in that division then he deserves to be talked about. Until then, he's the Adonis Stevenson of the heavyweight division and at least Stevenson has a belt.
Haye is all talk. Nothing more.
I am the contrarian apparently. Frankly, I think AJ has a long way to go before he hits the his high mark...but I think he flattens haye. The only thing Haye can do is KO AJ...Dylan White, on the other hand, was active and made AJ make mistakes.
AJ is good enough to avoid Haye's ambush attacks. When Haye feels AJ's power he will not be as willing. haye is not really all that nimble, it would look like the Vlad fight.
I recall similar words prior to facing Wlad and all he did was run away for 12 rounds.
No thanks, I'll pass on a Joshua vs Haye fight.
Give the man a break. He had problems with his TOE. Is that not good enough for you :)
It is, but Haye hasn't helped himself by fighting bums. He's not kept himself relevant or in the HW mix. Right now it's a high risk/low reward fight as Haye isn't seen as a HW contender. Joshua doesn't need to go through Haye to get fights like Parker, or Klitschko, or even Wilder. Haye is not in his way. Which is a shame, as he's probably in the top 3 HW's in the world.
I beg to differ - despite fighting absolute bums, he has managed to wiggle himself into the WBO Mando spot, guaranteeing a fight with either Parker or Ruiz by March next year (or April, can't remember). If he foregoes that for a fight with Joshua, fine - but either way, he's next in line for a title fight with what will be a Top 5 heavyweight.
I think it's ridiculous that he's next in line, as he hasn't fought anyone with a pulse in years, but hey..he's got a knack for positioning himself well.
An unnecessary discourse so, when was the last time Haye fight against a powerful opponent in HW division? I dont even remember name of his last two opponents... He's talking too but not doing anything! Go home Haye!

He broke his pinky toe remember? He even took his boot off to show the world that he was nothing more than all talk lol. He choked on his biggest moment and I would expect the same with this fight.
It'd be a fun fight. Haye's the better boxer but he's smaller and older
It's probably the biggest fight than can be made in the UK, so I hope it happens next year
Joshua is 6' 6'' and punches like a trojan horse. Haye might have the better boxing pedigree but he's really talking out his cakehole if he thinks he can just steam roll Joshua.
He sounds like a man on the edge and I think Bellew was right about that.
what a douchebag.
he make a tshirt where hes holding up joshuas severed head?
i HOPE bellew wins. i doubt it but i hope he just beats the stuffing outta haye. id prefer haye gets ignored and no one bothers with him.
If this is based on the caliber of his last two opponents or him slowing down and getting old then it would make more sense than it appears .Haye knows the score , do an Amir Khan before he gets flattened .Nothing wrong there but I'm not fool enough to buy.
Wish haye would jeff off back to cypress if I'm honest
He's a broke sales man begging for paydays without earning it
I was a big haye fan but its not hard to see through his bullsheet . He will publicly beg for the payday until he gets it then do what he did against wlad (damage control)
con man of the highest order, hope Bellew lands a bomb which is highly unlikely in this circus fight
I definitely agree with Haye here, I think the fight doesn't go more than 4 rounds here. AJ needs more experience and another 5/6 fights before he would be a favourite IMO against Haye. Wait another 2/3 years before taking someone like Haye on.
Haye's right the only reason for the Haye fight not to happen is that they think he's too dangerous. It's the biggest fight available for Joshua.
It is by far the biggest fight for Haye, i dont really see any other options for Haye at this point in his career, and looking for that one last big payday.
There are many reasons not to stick AJ in with Haye, and he has plenty of time to develop and build himself before taking the big fights, lets face it he's earning much more fighting bums than Haye is.

One thing you can't fault Haye for is his ability to spot an opportunity and talk his way into it.
(he might want to consider installing an English grammar app into his computer brain at some point though)
