Tim took the short term money and went to TR and said he wasn't going to chase a Floyd fight when he was a free agent. He very easily could've fought Floyd but chose the path that avoided Floyd.
Fight would've been really competitive 3-4 years ago. Don't sleep on TB, he is a good fighter. Floyd by UD 3 years ago as well as today.
Timmeh needs to get busy and fight. His clock is ticking and he is at the end of his prime if not passed. Just get in the ring and prove all of us wrong/right. Tim is regarded as a Top 5 welter in most boxing circles. I agree with some of the comments that TB is the best behind Floyd and Manny. Again, get in the ring Tim and show us where you at!
They both had common opponents, and Bradley was the 3rd best welterweight after PAC and May.
Back before Floyd was considering retirement I was adamant about Bradley being the only other fighter in the division other than Maidana who had a chance to beat him at the time, and this was well before the Pac fight.
I think it woulda been razor close, if Bradley at his best shows up. I woulda favored Floyd but it would be another of those fights for me where I like both guys and don't want either to lose but I end up rooting for one to win thinking the results would be less damaging all around like I did with the Maidana fight and probably end up rooting for Bradley to pull it off, but would have been satisfied with a good fight regardless of the victor.
Never wanted to see it because Floyd would always be 2 steps ahead of Tim. I like Bradley and think people are overlooking how relevant he still is today, but his style just doesn't play well to Mayweather's.
I always wondered why Floyd didnt fight him.
Hes a bigger draw than names like Berto, you know. Would have been an easy fight for his style and good money (compared to someone like Berto).
I would pick Mayweather to win. Bradley can't hurt him and he can't outbox him. I don't see how Bradley could win. Pacquiao clearly beat Bradley 3 times even though he officially lost the first fight. Mayweather clearly beat Pacquiao.
