Canelo is in the lead right now. He'll likely win for the 2nd year in a row. He's got my vote. Beautiful setup and execution. There was a drama to it as well. I know, voting Canelo for KO of the year is like voting a pop artist for song of the year but, to be fair, I think he earned it.

In addition to closing his eyes, he got himself squared up as well. Only makes it harder to slip (or take) a shot. Brutal, the way he just wilted. I think there's a couple better KO's this year but this one is fight up there. I couldn't give it #1 because the setup wasn't as elegant.

It's cause he got hit right on the mouth. Not even the jaw, right in the kisser. Those punches don't KO usually. Even their position before the KO seemed amateurish.
