This is obviously the biggest and best fight in boxing other then Kovalev-Ward II.
I can't think of a better, more competitive, 50/50 type of fight in recent times.
Is Crawford a step too great for Lomachenko? Or can he be the best 140lber on the planet?
loma schools him, gamboa was doing it until the weight difference started to show, plus yuri is very reckless (in part that's why i love him) and very irresponsible defensively. loma isn't.
This is why I think Lomachenko can do it as well. Gamboa was 2 weights too high, and still gave Crawford all he could handle until the rust and inactivity and wrecklessness started to show up.
Loma is far more responsible, has the same kind of feet to change range and be wherever he wants to be, and basically impossible to catch clean.
Crawford is too big, it's not even worth talking about.
So I thought, but Max mentioned this immediately after the fight. You know they're going to at least see if they can possibly entertain it
Crawford needs to start fighting people his own size..
LOL...
His skills are undeniable but he's been picking on smaller dudes his whole career.
Crawford is too big...Crawford wins.
Loma is one of my fav active fighters but no need to push him to fight out of his weight class. He only rehydrated to 136.
I agree. But this is the fight that HBO/Arum is going to start talking about in the very near future
Lomachenko's skill and reflexes are just too good. He sees every punch from everyone he fights like they are throwing in slow motion, and his feet are so good that size isn't really a factor because he can change angle and get in and out whenever he wants too.
I think Bud's size advantage and the fact that he can adjust as well as he can, I'd pick him to beat Loma.
Depends how long Crawford stays at '40 and how quickly Loma decides to jump up as well I think.
