MAN. some people interpretation skills are shot. y'all seem to think im disqualifying ward because of a controversial win.......What im saying this controversial win doesnt define him as an ATG ore HOF. You guys are dumb.
I can accept this, but he should get in over aturo gatti and rocky balboa lol!!!
I love Gatti but I feel putting him in the HOF was a mistake. Like I said I'm not exactly a fan of Ward but I don't see how anyone could claim he's not a lock for HOF.
yeah, thats why i say i genuinely dont think he has any fans. Compare the reception brook got by the homecrowd at the o2 compared to what ward got in vegas. I know UK fans are probably louder than US fans in general, but when i watch NFL theres plenty of chanting and atmosphere, there was none in that ward fight. Was a bit surreal really, cause it was such a big fight, hyped up so much on this forum, and it ended up having the atmosphere of an undercard fight
Exactly, It was made out as a big fight given a bit of hype etc some big named celebs bought it and they called out the terrible decision as well and these guys are Americans lol!
Yeah, easily that Brook crowd gave a hostile atmosphere they were chanting and singing it was just constant noise no matter what even after Kell Brook inevitably lost too bad Ward fan's only chant is SOG, SOG, SOG, SOG lmfao!
I was sorta expecting the cringey rendition of
"I believe that we will win!"
Just overall I wasn't impressed, very lax crowd no personality to it.
brand is 40 years old, i doubt he's going to suddenly grow into a world class boxer at this point
and shabranskyy will kick barrera's ass in december
didn't realise he was 40, my bad haha
I was just saying if either manage to go onto have good careers, they'll look more impressive too.
Not that they're impressive now.
Regardless, he doesn't need them to, his resume now is outstanding.

No need to face GGG that win is a step backwards a win over the child raping pimp elevates him further though.
Regardless if it will be one of his easier fights because of the size difference, a win over GGG still looks impressive on his resume
What? Barrera's an amateur, he didn't even know how to fight, cool name but an amateur.

its just my hunch, people just think im hating but i always said that i think wards ability has been exagerrated because of how poor that super middleweight line up was. I could be wrong, its impossible to prove now, but i just watch froch/kessler/abraham and im not impressed with their skills at all really. Ward seriously struggling with kovalev makes me think that even more now. However, that coulda;; have been irrelevant against kovalev, could have been a number of factors (inactivity, size difference, styles) that made him struggle, but thats what i think, i think kovalev was just simply a lot lot better than the guys at 168 were. Fair enough if any body thinks differently :)
froch completely schooled arthur abraham with boxing skills. it's not like he was fast, which is the real physical kryptonite for a style like arthur abraham's. i have no idea why you'd group them together, becuse there's a huge gap in class between the two. the onyl thing they had in common was that they came from europe and had good chins. abraham was an explosive puncher with a limited, on / off style. froch could lead, he could counter, and he made adjustments to deal with his physical disadvantages.
Outstanding resume - Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Kovalev
Also fighters like Brand and Barrera could go onto have decent careers which would make those wins more impressive.
I had Kovalev shading the decision but I could see the argument for Ward, once he rematches him and if he manages to win, there's no arguments about him being a HOF, infact he probably doesn't even need that win.
If he can beat Kov again, GGG, Stevenson, the arguments going to be there for him being one of the best ever

yeah the atmosphere at that fight was absolutely pathetic. Was pretty much silent for a lot of it.
Pin drops...
The whole of Dontae racist nation were out for that fight and they didn't even have any chants, very pitiful lol.
