Before, all of you talked about how Kovalev would destroy Ward and how Kovalev was the first real challenger Ward had faced.
Well, when the fight happened, Kovalev scored a knockdown and after that, it was all Ward, dominating with tricky movement, body shots and inside control. People screaming "robbery!" here are no different from the guys who cried about Pacquiao getting robbed against Mayweather, lol, it was just two close fights in which Ward and Mayweather had that extra dimension to their game that neutralized their opponents' offense.
Ward won a great fight and now you haters are just being childish. Seriously. Does it hurt you so much to see Ward win? Would you kill yourself if he also defeated Golovkin, who clearly is a weaker opponent than Kovalev?
Many people have been saying it for years: Ward is the P4P number 1 boxer in the world. And I believe he will also defeat Stevenson and build up his legacy even more.
His resume is just insane now. His top 3 wins:
1 - Kovalev
2 - Froch
3 - Kessler
That is very damned solid!
7-5 isn't a domination. That was what I said in my original post, silly. It's as close to a fight as you can get without it being a draw.
Ward looked out of the water after two rounds, and then fought his way to victory over the back 10, taking 7 on all three scorecards.
To look at it a different way, Kovalev came out to an electric start over the first two rounds (dominant if you want to say that) before not closing things out and losing 7 of the next 10 rounds.
To start as shaky as Ward did, before closing out the fight in the manner that he did, is more than impressive to me. call it what you want.
Bro, nobody's doing Anti-Ward so, everybody says their own thoughts after watching the fight. It is necessary to respect people's thoughts. I think Ward is won fight but its very hard won. Maybe Sergey win by KO in second fight. Everything is possible..

Man, I scored for Kovalev, but I got no massive problem with folk who had Ward edging it. However in no world was Ward 'Dominating' - he never at any point really had control of the fight, merely managing to deny that same control to Kovalev. The two guys were about as evenly matched as I've seen in a top level fight.
Dude. Ward won. And everyone could see it, unless they had a problem with Ward.
Ward destroyed Kovalev's face, there was blood everywhere.
most of the world world, plus boxing media doesn't agree with you.
professional boxing, at the world level and for championships, is fought over 12 one-round fights; you win 7 of those fights, and you win the overall fight.
Sergey Kovalev was absolutely the clear winner in 2 of those fights; that still doesn't change the fact that it was only 2 of the possible 12 fights.
Kovalev won 2 fights big; Ward won 7 fights close. With Ward winning 7 of the 12 fights, Ward won the fight.
7 is greater than 2; only an idiot says otherwise.

lol Damn, you're stupid. I should ignore two dominant rounds that Kovalev had so that Ward's victory looks more impressive than it actually is?

Hardly a ward hater. In fact I was pretty neutral going into the fight, while slightly favouring Ward but after the fight I felt really bad for Kovalev as I genuinely thought he won. You cant just dismiss people as Ward hater just because they think Kovalev won and judges were biased.
I have nothing against Ward. He fought great fight after being knocked down. But no way he wins a unanimous decision based on that performance.
The sad part is Ward is getting flak for a decision in which he had no say. The only people who deserve criticism are inept or corrupt judges.
Yeah but he just got a gift kido.
SO nobody is going to shut up. BTW analysts and boxers that were ringside almost all had it for kov..
NO one will shut up lololol kov will get a rematch and get his belts back
Ward lost the first two rounds (the knockdown in the 2nd didn't help things); pull the first two and all of the judges had Ward closing out the fight 7-3.
cry if you want

Yeah, 114-113 on all three judges' scorecards. Such domination for ten straight rounds.

Now I know you are joking.Wards face was much more marked.Kovalev had a nosebleed. It wasn't a great fight but both showed good qualities.Lots of people think Kovalev won.But that makes them haters for you because a narcissist must have everyone agree with him or start calling them names.
Now I know your trolling. Ward was the one wearing the massive sun glasses post fight.
Ward was not the one with constantly bleeding eyes, a bleeding nose, a bleeding mouth and who started to stick his head out between the ropes after getting shook, lol.
Kovalev took more damage than Ward during that fight. There is a reason why Kovalev held back his punches in the second half.
Come on, dude, it looked like his face had been through a blender. I got worried about Kovalev's safety at times and I even started suspecting that Ward could end up stopping him.
Ward did not win that fight and he didn't think so either. Just look at his reaction when they gave it to him!
American fighter, American judges, American home cooking!
