STEPHEN SMITH believes he will have to earn his shot to be third time lucky in a world title fight. The Liverpool super-featherweight put in a brave display against WBA champion Jason Sosa at the plush Salle des Etoiles venue in Monaco. Click Here To Read More]
Your own countrymen made you look foolish -- they also agreed McDonnell Robbed Solis!
You keep focusing on my countrymen you little insecure *****.
Maybe one day your cheating cowardly excuses for men can be as manly as us Brits. Just go to a wishing well and hope for the best, sucker.
Hey, how's that bitterness and insecurity doing? From the looks of things it's still very strong.
Troll.

that's the idea, bro.
You know thats exactly the plan! they didn't have the UK ref helping a Eddie Hearn promoted fighter in Monaco...you know Sosa is lucky that Smith was not a big name or a world champion like Jamie McDonnell who robbed Solis in the very same card ( as I predicted ) otherwise they would have the capital to buy off the judges too.
These promoters are disgusting

I can't see a single reason to have a rematch. Smith was well beaten.
If he wants another title shot, go in the direction of the other 2 belts, not the same guy again. It would be pointless. Sosa would clearly win again.
I don't see the point in the rematch. It wasn't that close. Smith was tough and showed a lot of heart, but that doesn't mean it was a close fight.
I think Smith just falls a bit short of world level, probably like all his brothers. He could pick up a world title if he gets a very weak champion in front of him or an easy vacant title fight, like Liam did.
What the hell has Smith done to earn this many title shots?
Hearn playing with his fighters health here imo. Needs to drop him down to Euro level where he will be fighting guys his own level.
My point exactly! I mean there are many fighters that go thru hell to get a title shot and this guy is going to get 3 in about a years time....the hell with that! I would rather see Fortuna vs Sosa, anyway....will be a much more exciting fight.
I like Smith, i think he's a good fighter who is just below the required level to beat the real good guys in the division.
His fight with Pedraza was even up until the KD i thought. Then Pedraza stepped up a gear and pulled away.
And his fight against Sosa was a good fight, Smith was game and made it exciting, but was well beaten in the end.
He has lost to two good fighters, gave a decent account of himself, no shame in that, and can come again. But the division is tough at the top, and don't see him fighting for another title again.
There is no need for a rematch against Sosa. Sosa did his job, did it well, and he can move on from that fight now.
Soso should look to move on a unify!
You can't fight in a unification if you're holding the WBA regular, only the WBA super can...
Sosa vs Fortuna 2 should be next

I'm sure I heard that Fortuna has a rematch clause to fight Sosa. Anyway the WBA should be ordering Sosa to face the Corrales-Uchiyama rematch winner to 'unify' the WBA belts.

Fight in UK is good for Sosa, he is not a house hold name ,he can get a nice payday
That was a decent fight but that Sosa's a strong SOB. He would win the return wherever it was held - even the 'pool. Hearn's only trying to do his job, so you can't knock him for trying to get Smith another crack at it. It's just like the Crolla fight. Crolla was well beaten but somehow Hearn has him in there again. Linares shouldn't rematch him, should go try unify the division - unfortunately there's a rematch clause so that's not going to happen in the near future.
Sosa won the fight clearly, and why Liverpool?? so you can rob Sosa
