Man this dude go up and fight Golovkin the hardest punching fighter from 160-168, then comes down and facing the hardest punching fighter from 147-154 Errol Spence, this man deserves respect
He said it in the corner after round two....
GGG started bombing on him because Kell couldn't see.
you are having a wet dream bro. after some savage body punches kell crook slowed down and was there to be hit. are you saying crook would have won without eye "injury" ? if so wouldn't he be screaming for a rematch that would sell big and make more then they did the first time? I hear nothing from brook on that matter
I am all for boxer safety and do not want to see a guy get real hurt or dead. If you really believe he said he had double vision that is OK but I do not believe he said that being it was the first time since the 1st round GGG started bombing him

Hearn says he tried hard to talk Brook into leaving 147 and fighting at 154. I have no way of knowing if he is telling the truth. Still Hearn can't make Brook do anything he doesn't want to do.
Well as soon as he said he had double vision his corner had no other option. They let him have a fling but they had to stop it.He still showed heart though because that's a nasty injury and Gerald McClellan and Spencer Oliver had similar visual symptoms and we know what happened to them.Back of your mind you'd be thinking of blood clots.

the minute brook was getting bludgeoned he must have instructed his corner to jump in and stop while he made like he wanted to keep going. will it happen again with spence?

Brook is definitely a brave fighter ,despite what all the hardmen on here think. But I don't think he really expected to beat Golovkin ,it's just that he needed a proper payday he was treading water.Hes not goi g to be effective at welter but he's going to get the next best money vs Spence.154 is shark infested,no real easy options.

Brook wanted a big money fight -Hearn provided a $5m+ payday & the biggest purse of 2016 so far.
What is the problem?
Brook was clearly happy to cash out his 0..better than risk losing to Spence for less than a quarter of the money, right?
You haven't thought this through properly
he dared to be great, credit where credit is due, he clearly has balls.
However he was used by Hearn, who clearly knew what would happen, so it was he, who used Brook like a pawn (who had been begging for years for a big fight) Hearn did not deliver, he said it himself he was losing money on Brook and cashed him out.
He could of paid Vargas to come over, but he didnt want to pay him too, as he knew the sky casual fanbase does not know vargas. GGG was always going sell out and get 10x more PPV than Brook v Vargas was ever going to.
It's promoters job's to look after their fighters not to sell them out to make a quick buck and ruin their fighters career.
Brook could of unified welterweight and gone on to have an incredible career. instead now he will never be the same.
But i don't expect dimwit casual fan's like yourself to understand simple points such as that.
:lame:
He sat on his title for 2 years, fighting a couple of joke mandos. Then, he fought Golovkin for a payday. He *might* fight his MANDATORY in Spence.
There were mitigating circumstances there though like being stabbed, being quite good, and not bringing much money.
I think if he does fight Spence which I think it will then it would be churlish to say anything negative. There are plenty of fighters who would fight extremely mediocre opposition next up or sit on the fence if they had the backing.
With Kell he has got a status now where he can chase big money. I know I am a Brit and you can question the quality of some our fighters but I don't really think you can question their gameness - Calzaghe maybe. Khan getting splattered and Brook having his face broken whilst in a way is a sad indicator of the lack of intestinal fortitude of the would be/should be rivals of Canelo and GGG it does them credit.
Brook and Khan both did what prizefighters do and chased the biggest prize. I fully expect them to do the same. In fact, I expect all British fighters to do the same.
Brook seems to be hunting primarily for paydays now over fights that make sense i.e in his natural weight category, hopefully he can boil down to WW and perform to his best but I doubt it.
In any case the ballooning up to MW will catch up with him at some point down the line
If Brook finds a way to make 147 for Spence or for Pac...I hope he does it healthy, because I'm not convinced he can. I don't know who manages him, but they should look out for his best interest. I don't know if there's a safe way to settle back into 147, but one thing they can do is take a tune-up at a catchweight; try to ease the drop. Fight a solid guy at 150-151, see how well you feel. I'm sure Spence won't appreciate it, but that shouldn't be any of Brook's concern - maybe even put it into contract that after such tune-up Kell Brook is obligated to fight his mandatory.
and his promoter is responsible for not destroying his fighters career to fill his own pockets ffs.

spence v brook would of been an awsome fight, not now tho, hearn ruined brook's career, he can't come back and compete at the elite level @147 anymore..
not a chance.

Don't you think the final decision was down to Brook? Or do you think all fighters are slaves to their promoters
Brook definitely has the testicular fortitude it takes to be in this fighting game. Don't think he'll be fighting too soon. Has to wait for that eye socket to heal completely otherwise it will be his Achilles heel if you will.
Brook is responsible for his own career choices. He said many times going into the fight with GGG that making 147 was draining him a lot. He has the option of vacating his title and fighting at 154 or 160. If he insists on keeping his 147 pound title that is his choice.

Hes was going to get his ass whooped either way by Vargas or Spence so he decided to get his cherry popped by GGG for a bigger check and it saves his rep with gullible Brits...now hes at it again he knows Khan may not chase him up to 154 and he has a perfect excuse for when Spence Jr destroys him....' well I would of beat Spence but Golovkin took years of me career but the British public knows in prime condition no welter in the world beats meh! '
Eddie Hearn : ' Listen Kell Brook is a savage nobody is doing what hes done in boxing -- well except for Amir Khan...but thats besides the point....where was I going m8? ( Kugan : I don know something about PPV in UK )
