If he said fvck it and challenged the winner of that fight would that make him a lock for the hall of fame should he win?? This is how legends are made by taking risks against current active champions in higher divisions
You can make it to the HOF for beating Curtis Stevens, Adama, Rubio, Monroe Jr, Wade, Pepe La Pew, Kasim Ouma, Martin Murray and Kell Brook?
From what I've seen, the guy can fight. No doubt about it, but you still have to prove yourself against someone worth a damn.
he just got destroyed and nearly ko'd vs a welterweight. if the fight hadn't been stopped for political reasons he would be nothing right now. brook was cruising and hbo made brook's corner throw in the towel.
And your whole bases for GGG getting in is not because of the substance of his resume, but because Arturo Gatti got in as your argument.
If that's the case, let's completely be through with the HOF if we're going to base getting in off a popularity contest and not beating someone worth a damn
of course, that's the point - resume alone isn't the only criteria.
And yes, popularity matters.
GGG is a popular fighter who dominates his division and is still undefeated.
Just because he doesn't have ATG's on that resume of dominating the MW division doesn't mean he won't get in.
Look at the cans Wlad has dominated til Fury took his soul. Wlad will also get in.
who GGG faces from here on out will obviously increase his status, and if he loses badly might decrease his status, but he doesn't "need" a canelo fight or a ward fight to "make it", people thinking that his legacy depends on those fights are truly ignorant because it's not true.
it is not about what i want to hear..i have 0 influence on who makes it or not
larry being humble again. we know you are on the voting commitee. WHY ARE YOU LYING
And that was a mistake. No need to make that mistake again
Gatti's early untimely death also played a major role in his selection to the HOF
Whether it was a mistake or not is your opinion. The fact is he's in.
I provided a perfect example which refutes your statement.
At least you are indirectly admitting you were wrong though.
Golovkin can, and will get in.
Yeah but it would be chasing greatness the same way Brook and Khan did. Instead of facing reasonable opponents near their own weight they went way up in weight and got destroyed for a few bucks.
History only remembers those who were truly loved so yes GGG will go down in HOF regardless I'm not sure If Ward will though in this current era people will talk of GGG, Joshua, Pacquiao and all the rest guys willing to give a show and just in general people who are more likable.

Yes, you can.
List me the "big" "defining" wins that make Gatti a lock for the HOF. Wins. Not losses.
Don't worry, i'll wait.
If golovkin called out wilder they would say he waited until fury was retired before stepping up to heavweight.
Clearly, GGG is ducking Fury. There's just no other explanation.
The answer is yes, but he will make it in anyway. I know that's not what you want to hear, but it's true. There is no "name" holding him back/out of the HOF, his achievements/dominance thus far will get him in even if you feel there are no names on his resume, lesser fighters have made it.
You try to make it sound like there is a rule that you have to move up to be great. That's false and you know it.

ward is known precisely for his strength, is one of his greatest assets. cobra couldnt believe how strong he was. Just look at his recent pictures compared to golovkin, big big difference in amount of muscle mass. kovalevs a bigger man than golovkin, considerably. theres nothing to argue there.
You do realize there is a 15lb difference between them right? If Golovkin puts on 15 he will be just as big. Ward is clearly not known for his strength like Golovkin is. Golovkin's strength is one of his greatest assets.
Hell nah, it would be his first legit win and a great great win at that since he'll be a considerable underdog!
Him doing that would turn him into a superstar and worthy of credit!
I sent emails to Team Sanchez about Golden Goose Gennady moving up to 175 and fight the best!
Surely Triple B isn't a businessman?

Lets see here..was Oscar, Canelo not much bigger then Mayweather??
Was Margarito,Vargas,Cotto not much bigger the Pacquiao
was Joe Louis not much bigger then Billy Conn
Was Hagler not much bigger then Ray Leonard??
OR HOW ABOUT WHEN JACK DEMPSEY ALMOST KILLED THE MUCH BIGGER JESS WILLIARD??
just admit GGG is not a special fighter who can achieve special things and that you only want him to fight smaller fighers..Your posts show and prove that you have 0 faith in him beating anyone bigger then him, yet you want smaller fighters to face him...WTF?
Let's be real here. Billy Conn challenged Joe Louis for the Heavyweight title and was at a 32 lb disadvantage. I am more than confident that Golovkin would have no problem with Kovalev's size which would only be 1.5 inches according to boxrec and GGG fans. Kovalev is a skinny light heavy too, not like he has a lot of bulky muscle like Stevenson. Golovkin also wrestles heavyweights with ease from what I hear. Ward isn't known for his strength either.
ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!

Twice the size. :dunce:
People only asking him to do what Brook did. Great fighters do great things. You Golovtards keep calling him great don't you think it's about time he did something great?
they rather brag that he dropped him in sparring..but he does not have to back it up in a actual fight
no i didnt back that up. GGG wouldnt have the physicality to cope with wards clinch game at 175, and kovalevs far too big. And its different that sanchez said it, to golovkin saying it
