Briggs won the lineal title from Foreman.

You can't win a title that was vacant lol, Foreman vacated all of his titles in 95, no way he was still champ in 97
LOL, but I figure a sloth would be a 9 based on OP's logic. Nearly everyone or everything else is a 10/10.
Good call. I could see a sloth making a cup of tea by the time one of Briggs' punches got close.
Considering Briggs is old as fvck, he'd probably appreciate a cuppa.
I knew it, I knew it. The "Shannon Briggs Bum 'o the Month Club" route to a title shot, worked again! :lol1:
That said, I like this matchup. Lucas Browne is no f*ckin' pushover - I've seen fights where he looked atrocious but then he comes back and boxes beautifully in his victory against Ruslan Chagaev. Browne is limited to some extent, but he's also highly motivated, tough as nails and showed some boxing ability as I stated.
Briggs is also highly motivated but his stamina is suspect and he's fought bums for the last 3 years. Briggs is an experienced veteran and this is probably his last shot at a major title. You have to believe that he's gonna lay it all down on the line.
For everyone complaining the WBA sucks (they do), this is a solid, as any, HW matchup. These two guys are every very close in their abilities and I think that translates into a very competitive and entertaining fight.
It's just crazy how people love to fall for the hype.
Briggs has been awfull since the Ibragimov fight, several years ago. He is shot and retired, fighting exhibitions out there.
These days he is a bodybuilder, not a boxer. I'm not even sure he still properly trains boxing, he may just do weights.
Browne will flatten him quite easily.
I actually think Briggs might win this. He has to get it done inside 4 imo or he's gonna run outta gas and Browne will wear him down. But I won't be at all surprised if Briggs Ko's him in the first couple rounds
Yeah I can see briggs bum rushing Browne and stopping him in the first round

But Pacquiao became lineal chaaaaamp when he beat Bradley in April
seriously though your right I didn't realise Foreman vacated his belts before Briggs.
Exactly that's why it was Holyfield/Tyson that was for the WBA/IBF/Lineal, and yeah Briggs always brags about the Foreman fight in which he fought a 50 year old George and still got a gift decision lol
Foreman vacated his titles in 1995, they fought 1997, it's like if Mayweather comes back next year and he still considered the lineal champ

He was lineal heavyweight chaaaamp!
