I was watching this presser stream and the press area is practically empty only a few press there and most of them are those youtube bloggers who make money of adcents, and are not real journalists.
Its sad man, This B hops last fight he even said so at the presser, it made me cringe when Oscar De La Hoya said this historical press conference yet there was only a few media there to cover it.
Not a good look for boxing and HBO, Boxing is a grandpa sport UFC is taking over, almost every Presser for a UFC event is jampacked.
Bro then you dont know many people, Lots of people love UFC, its no longer for skinheds and readnecks bro.
A lot of Latinos, Asians and Blacks under 30 follow it more than boxing.
Its also very popular iwth HOT chicks. I see a lot of pretty girls doing prediction videos on UFC, I havent seen any pretty women besides Michelle Joy Phelps who actually likes boxing.
UFC is taking over, Boxing needs to change their approach, only put action match up on ppv, save the boring slick boxing for regular tv.
I have literally never met a woman who like UFC or any fight sport in general. Not saying they aren't out there just saying they are rare. I don't know anyone else who like boxing either other than big names like Pac or Mayweather.
UFC is boring as hell. They circle each other for 4 minutes then 1 guy lands a sloppy overhand right and the other guy is out or they spend 90% of the round on the ground. Nobody wants to spend an hour watching two guys roll around.
The only guy I ever knew who like UFC was a dumbass skinhead...and he used to **** his drawers on the daily...
He made it on to Maury 1 time if that gives you a better picture of how retarded this guy was.

Why do people think this represents boxing's vitality? If Mark Coleman came out of retirement to fight a barely known bellator fighter, there wouldn't be anyone at the first presser either.
Boxings vitality was destroyed last May when people got suckered out of $100 by two old men in a snooze fest of a "mega fight"
There's no growing of an audience of younger people when the other combat sport is putting on great fights and delivering the goods while boxing sputters along with 2-3 good fights a year between top guys...
Personallh, I'm not into watching UFC but I sure wish boxing could somehow adapt that model and be under one banner so we could actually get the fights we want on a regular basis and not be overwhelmingly happy just because we get a fight that should happen anyway..

well hes fuking 50 hasnt fought in what 2 years?.. and ufc is an easy brand to follow
B hop is a legend man, its his final fight, look at Randy Couture he was like 47 and he drew big crowds for his career making fight against tim sylvia.
Hopkins, even at his absolute prime, was never much of a draw. He had more success later on, in terms of drawing an audience, when he took risks against Tarver, Pavlik, Pascal and Kovalev.
Sadly, Hopkins will retire and it will go unnoticed but that's ok, I'll be watching.
stupid products deserve to go extinct. boxing had a good run but guys like floyd sucked the life out of it and took advantage of how unregulated it was.
..and encouraged other fighters to follow the same model. Hey, you made a boatload of cash and maximized profit while minimizing risk. Good for you, but guess what? The general buying public doesn't give a damn about smart business decisions. They want to see good, competitive fights of the best vs. the best.
Boxing should have imploded a long time ago by comparison to the UFC. I mean, look at the UFC 205 card, hard to imagine at least of a couple of those won't be highly entertaining.
You don't believe that. You're as addicted as the rest of us, D.
i didn't say i wasn't stupid. there will always be a fringe audience of stupids that follow anything but the ability to expand its popularity has been killed by boxers taking advantage of how unregulated it is and ducking left and right, clinching and crap like that. most people are like ummm this is garbage byeee
