Terence Crawford is in the lead for my fighter of the year award. His dominant win over Postol made him the undisputed champ at 140 and he showed incredible flashes of brilliance. He is now scheduled to fight on 12/10/2016 which will make it his third fight of the year and the opponents rumored are Frankie Gomez, Antonio Orozco, and Amir Imam. 3 wins in one year and also against the biggest threat in the division (imo) makes him the fighter of the year. Honorable mentions: Carl Frampton (2 wins) - against Scott Quiqq and Leo Santa Cruz. Errol Spence - 2 wins both by KO over Algieri and Bundu and is rumored to be fighting again in December. The reason I have him on here is because of the way he won which was in spectacular fashion.

No doubt Crawford had a very good year and performance but for Frampton is the fighter of the year in my opinion.

"postol was the much more difficult fight and greater win that frampton beating santa cruz... Frampton is a cute boxer but he gets smashed by walters, loma, rigo, hell probably even donaire. " Santa Cruz was a difficult win and Cruz was the much bigger man. Quigg is a good fighter and hell no Donaie would not beat Framton, nor would overrated punchers chance walters. Frampton had a slightly better year. It's close though

I was thinking Frampton also but the performance against Quigg was not great and he is only fighting two times this year. I think his win against LSC was for real and the rematch is going to be an amazing fight.

I like Framptons year better. Has Crawford beat anyone (relatively speaking of course) in his division as good as quigg or santa cruz???Frampton is a little underrated here in the U.S. I don't think so and Frampton beat them both in the same year. Postol, Maybe.
